A special thanks to Brigitte Holmes for the gold sharpie suggestion! With a little time and patience working with the pens, cue tips and diluted isopropyl alcohol the letters started to POP! This case is extremely well made from Rosewood and looks and feels much more expensive than it was! Too bad business cards are going the way of the newspaper. Oh well. IMO should suffice as I glide into geezerhood!

To those who just saw me in Oneida, I’m fine. I just happened to be standing there when the one car took the corner to sharp hit the the truck. I ran over and stayed with Cathy until 911 arrived. It appears that no one is seriously hurt.

As the season change approaches I have started to look through my “old clothes” totes. I unearthed this 30 year old relic this morning! This has been worn and washed dozens of times! It was exposed to smoke, spills and all kinds of weird stains! Back then It was never stored properly in between seasons, often left hanging somewhere or stuffed in a drawer and yanked out to be worn by the fire. It was even left outside in the boat, soaking wet to dry. But here it decades later still looking great! Just one more example of “you get what you pay for” from Mike G shop on Dominck street. I remember paying $24.00 for this and balking at the price. Glad I did because here we are all these years later and it still looks like it’s new! And smells good too 😉

Senior Swing Flashback Friday!

Sue from the Seasons Harvest at Turning Stone booked me for four Fridays in the month of February 2011 . The event went over so well she asked me to stay a little while longer. 421 Fridays later we were still going strong. While the crowds were never the same as they were when we started in Seasons Harvest they were still very good all the way until it ended Friday, March 20, 2020 the day Covid stopped the world. I will never forget this incredibly kind and respectful, loving group of people. There’s something to be said about the “greatest generation“ and I agree, wholeheartedly. It was a different time. Thank you, Turning Stone for this incredible chapter in my life!
