Long post alert…
As I look at this photo from one of my weddings this past weekend, I’m reminded that even when we don’t know it every little detail was in Gods hands and seeing this photo with perfect lighting and beautiful colors reminds me of just that…
The fear of just how bad things were for our family in Augusta and the added stress of pulling off not one but two weddings for two special brides in less than 24 hours after a Hurricane to say the least was very overwhelming…
But, He gave us beautiful sunlight Saturday and sent me with the resources to provide flowers for both weddings. One venue had no power or water and pecan trees down as far as the eye could see... but all my venders showed up, in a big way. My parents home had been heavily damaged and material things lost… but I’m so blessed that they were still here to cry with me as we finally got to them Sunday.
Right now, many are facing the devastating effects of the hurricane. Some are looking at weeks of lost power, others have lost their homes, and many are dealing with uncertainty of what lies ahead. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, but let’s take heart in the words from Philippians... Even in the darkest moments, joy can still be found.
We may not control the storm, but we can control how we react to it… we may not know them all but so many people have been effected directly and indirectly so give empathy to people, be a little more patient with people and just love people a little more!
I just know it will make a difference, it just has to!❤️
