Meet Patrick Sauber! 🪕
Patrick Sauber is a multi-instrumentalist who has quickly made a name for himself in the world of bluegrass and old-time music. Sauber is one of the new breed of bluegrass pickers – talented, fast, inventive, creative, fluid, frictionless, highly developed fast twitch muscles, great singer – he does it all. How could he not be that good, he had the great advantage of being the son of bluegrass and old-time great Tom Sauber.
Equally adept on guitar, mandolin, and banjo, Sauber has toured with Peter Rowan, Laurie Lewis, J2B2, and appeared on screen in “The Mighty Wind.”

Meet Mark Fain!
Grammy-winning bassist and producer Mark Fain has recorded and performed with Jack Black, Allison Krauss, Rosanne Cash, Ry Cooder, John Fogerty, Chris Hillman, Bruce Hornsby, Alan Jackson, Cody Johnson, Loretta Lynn, Martina McBride, John Oates, Joan Osborne, Dolly Parton, and Tom Petty. He previously was a longtime member (13 years) of Ricky Skaggs’s band, Kentucky Thunder, and is currently a member of the John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band and a substitute player with the Grand Ole Opry house band. He's also producing many artists in jazz, country, bluegrass, and gospel genres.

Meet Herb Penderson!
Herb Pedersen has made major contributions to bluegrass, country, and country-rock music throughout a career at the forefront of American roots music for more than sixty years. An accomplished vocalist, guitarist, and banjo player, Pedersen is a founding member of the Desert Rose Band, bluegrass super-group Old and In the Way, and was a member of the Dillards from 1969 to 1971.
A sought-after singer and musician, he has recorded solo albums and has also performed/recorded with such music legends as Chris Hillman, Earl Scruggs, Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris, Tony Rice, Dan Fogelberg, Stephen Stills, Linda Ronstadt, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine, Jackson Browne, and John Denver.
Television and motion picture soundtracks are also something Herb has been involved in since the early 70s. Shows like The Rockford Files, Smokey and the bandit, the Maverick movie with Mel Gibson, Hunter, The Simpsons, have used Herb either on 5 string banjo, or vocals for many years.
Herb & J2B2 has created quite a buzz, and The International Bluegrass Music Association is among the many giving the newly formed band’s live performance high marks. In a review, the IBMA noted, “There was warmth, and storytelling, and lots of laughter as this fresh band of legends made their debut…but with their expertise combined, you would think they had been playing in this configuration for years.”

John Jorgenson is perhaps best known for his guitar work with bands such as the Desert Rose Band and The Hellecasters. Jorgenson is also proficient in the mandolin, mandocello, Dobro, pedal steel, piano, upright bass, clarinet, bassoon, and saxophone. John Jorgenson, known for his blistering guitar and mandolin licks and mastery of a broad musical palette, has earned a reputation as a world-class musician, as evidenced by his collaborations with Earl Scruggs, Bonnie Raitt, Elton John, Luciano Pavarotti, Bob Dylan, and many others.
First coming to national attention in the mid ‘80s as co-founder of successful country-rock act The Desert Rose Band, an eclectic array of artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Bob Seger and Barbra were drawn to add Jorgenson’s artistry to their own recordings. While a member of the Desert Rose Band, Jorgenson won the Academy of Country Music’s “Guitarist of the Year” award two consecutive years.
Having been a fan of the Desert Rose Band, Elton John invited Jorgenson to join his band in 1994 for an 18 month tour that stretched into a six-year stint of touring, recording and TV appearances with the British superstar, in addition to collaborations with other artists including Sting and Billy Joel.
Jorgenson continues to expand his dynamic range of musical offerings, exploring new elements of world music, bluegrass, rock and classical as he captivates and enlightens fellow musicians and listeners along the way. Touring with multiple musical configurations such as the John Jorgenson Quintet, the John Jorgenson Electric Band, the John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band and the Desert Rose Band.
