Connecting with the creative sides of ourselves is a vital part of growing up. Throughout our childhoods, we are always discovering new information, forming friendships, and developing skills at our own pace. Being able to express yourself in a way that's not only healthy, but creative and artistic can help kids gain confidence in themselves, focus better in school, and develop critical thinking skills among many other benefits.

Through Art Adventures, we've taught many kids how to express themselves through 2-D and 3-D art, and we've seen many grow into wonderful students/people with unique skills and styles. We've learned so much from them over the years, and we can only hope to continue teaching, learning, and growing in the future. ☺️🥰 🎨

Below is a recent review from an Art Adventures parent who kindly shared with us how our art program has impacted his family. 🥰

" Mrs. G, Here's what Art Adventures means to my family:

My kids LOVE Art Adventures! Every day when I pick them up, they don’t want to leave! Mrs. G and her team do an outstanding job instructing the children in, and giving them experiences with, multiple media and styles of art. My children’s ability to express themselves through art, and their skills—especially fine motor—in doing so, have skyrocketed as a result of Art Adventures. Art Adventures is one of the best opportunities for elementary-aged children in Statesboro! Thanks for all you do!”

STATESBORO, Ga.— STATESBORO, Ga.— City of Statesboro Mayor Jonathan McCollar will host the 2025 State of the City address on Tuesday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. Over the past five years, McCollar has hosted annual State of the City events to highlight the city’s achievements from the previous year and share the city’s vision and goals for the year to come. One of the biggest ways we get to serve our community is through sharing our knowledge of the arts with the curious and those who want to be creative. Through our Art Adventures after-school art program, we're able to meet all kinds of intelligent, creative, and sometimes goofy kids and their families. We've learned so much from them over the years, and we can only hope to continue teaching, learning, and growing in the times to come. ☺️🥰 🎨

Below is a recent review from an Art Adventures parent who kindly shared with us how our art program has impacted her family. 🥰

"Art Adventures provides all that you would expect from an afterschool program and more. The small scale program provides a safe and supportive environment where our children are supervised by staff that care for the children as if they are family. The program has helped my children explore a wide variety of artistic techniques and develop valuable social skills through interacting with children from schools all across the county. Most importantly, we greatly appreciate that Ms. Georgina takes the time to talk to the children about the culture, tradition, and history behind the art. These efforts allow our children to gain a deeper understanding of different ways of life and appreciate other cultures." - Johanne
