Last night, we were honored to be the venue of choice for Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation's 20th year celebration. Joan Schuller serves as board president and was an excellent host. Attendees were treated to wine and a dessert bar provided by The Bakery and it looked excellent. We had entertainment from the Iowa Falls High School Music Department and then speakers that talked about the success of the organization. The highlight of the night was the giving out of twenty 1,000 dollar grants to non-profits in Hardin County. What an excellent night. As Director Tam Elerding says "For the Love of Hardin County".

We were honored to be part of this!

In early 2025, Mark Heinz began receiving hospice care from Cedar Valley Hospice. It was supposed to be an exciting time – his daughter, Meghan, was going to get married later that year. The family wanted to make sure Mark saw Meghan in her wedding dress, and his care team helped make it happen by arranging for transportation to . Mark, Meghan and family witnessed the first look and captured pictures of the treasured moment.

Veterans Day originated from Armistice Day in 1919, commemorating the end of World War I, and was renamed in 1954 to include all veterans from all eras. The purpose of Veterans Day is to honor all veterans, living and dead.

Today we pause from our busy lives and honor all of those who have served in the US Armed Forces. We recognize the courage, commitment, and selflessness of those who have defended the nation and the sacrifices they and their families have made.

To all of those who have served and also those currently serving, we thank you for your service!

Tayler and Carter. November 8, 2025. Mother nature added a twist and presented snow for the wedding ceremony. While Tayler may not love the cold and snow, we bet they get some really good photos from the day.

Meghan lost her dad, Mark, to cancer this past year. During the father daughter dance, Meghan invited all the dads to dance with their daughters. So very cool and thoughtful!

Everyone loves food right and when you have nearly 400 guests at a wedding, if you are the last table to get dismissed to eat, it might be a while before you eat. So, when Meghan and Chad decided to auction off to tables the ability to eat first, you can bet people were interested. Hundreds and hundreds of dollars were raised for the couple that night. Justin Kuper did an excellent job as auctioneer.

We would like to wish a very happy birthday to our Director of Laundry Services, aka grandma to us. We deliver laundry to her (normally two big black garbage bags full) most times around 2am on Sunday mornings after the Saturday wedding is over and she gets up around 5am to start on it and by evening she has it all washed, dried, and folded.

She also runs grandma's kitchen that serves hot meals during harvest and planting season. Oh, and each meal comes with snacks for the remainder of the day.

Best quote by grandma "when one of us goes into a new business, we all go into that business together".

Grandma--we LOVE YOU SO MUCH and hope you have the best day ever! Happy birthday!
