The gate is open at Lone Star Arena, and we have turned the lights on at the stall barn if you need a place to put your horses because of the fire.

We realize that a lot of you would like to get into Lone Star Arena prior to the PRCA rodeo. We thought that we would have an open ride on Thursday, Sept. 9th from 9:00-12:00 for those of you that are interested. It will be $25.00 per rider, and $5.00 for each extra horse you bring to the premise. The main gate will open at 8:30 and arena gate at 9:00. The barrels will be set-up.

Lone Star Arena has a different type of competitor tonight! These soccer players are headed to the coast to play sand soccer, and they needed some practice on the dirt. It sure has been fun watching them practice, and we want to wish everyone headed that way good luck.

Congratulations to the winners of the 40+ Ropings on Sunday. The 11.5 Slide was won by Bryce Young and Zane Bruce, the 10.5 was won by Ricky Brooks and Monty Jacob, and the 9.5 by James Scott and Mike Collier. Thank you to everyone whom came to rope on Mother's Day. We will again award headstalls at the 40+ Roping in June. Hope to see you there.

Don't forget - we have an OTRA Team Roping on Saturday and a 40+ on Sunday. During the 40+ Roping, headstalls will be awarded to the winners of each roping. Hope to see you there.
