The Rock Falls Police Police Department and the Rock Falls Fire Department are teaming up to raise funds to benefit local youth and community events.

Thanks to Rock Falls Police Officer Brian Diaz for stopping River Country 101.7 to help spread the word.

It’s the BATTLE OF THE BADGES Chili Cook-off on Sunday, January 28th at the Rock Falls Eagles Club from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm.

There will be 5 entries from each of the fire and police departments. The cost is $10 to taste and vote on a winner.

Let the sugar rush begin..... The FUN starts tomorrow with the Sterling Police Department's Trunk or Treat event at City of Sterling - City Hall. Thursday evening Downtown Sterling transforms into Sterling's Halloween Town. Saturday the fun continues at the Twin City Farmers Market AND the Shoppes at Grandon Plaza. And on Tuesday, Halloween night...get to know your neighbors as you trick-or-treat door to door!
