Thank you to the local campus in Marshfield 🏫 who hired us to serve 55 people a loaded chili bar last Friday!

We featured our homemade beef chili along with a homemade three bean vegan chili! 😋

Thank you to the company who hired us to create a 200 person basic nacho bar for their Halloween event today!

The spread took over 3 different areas of their cafeteria (kept lidded until closer to serving time) and Miss Amy had to whip out the 2003 Toyota van to make sure there was room for it all 😅 (and her and Miss Michelle got to enjoy old cds 💿 for the ride 😅).

Thank you to the local company who had two meetings today and let us get creative with lunch. 😋

Miss Amy enjoys creating jumbo meatballs and homemade marinara so we created lunchboxes that featured them on a fresh baked hoagie as a sandwich topped with shaved parm, asiago and romano cheeses and an extea cup of marinara. (Since this is new for us trying, they didn't fit the boxes so the chips are on the side 😅).

We hope everyone is having a fun time with Halloween festivities this weekend. 👻🎃🐈‍⬛

First and foremost, we'd like thank the non-profit group who ordered platters for an event on Wednesday as well as the two groups who ordered platters for today. We appreciate the community support, hope everyone enjoyed everything and are happy we could help you out with getting things together during your busy schedules. :-)

Secondly, we will be CLOSED for Doordash next week as Miss Amy and Miss Michelle will ne busy prepping several jobs (one of them being a 200 person lunch 🤯) so we will be fairly busy to say the least. Lol.

We appreciate everyone who orders via Doordash when we are available and are continually working on updating the menu (we've now added some catering platters with a two hour lead time) as well as making the menu more user friendly so your order is the way you want it ordered. :-)

Thank you to the lady who picked up a small veggie platter from our shop this morning as well as the lady who hired us to deliver items to an establishment in Plover for a baby shower. 👶

Don't forget that tomorrow is Empty Bowls of Portage County!

We created a Chicken Tortellini Soup that began with chicken quarters to create a homemade broth and finished the soup with fire roasted tomatoes, carrots, celery, onion and cheese tortellini. 😋 Here's a pic of how it started. 😅

Go out and grab a bowl from any one of the great establishments that kindly donated for a great cause this year. ♡

Thank you to the two groups who hired us today to ironically deliver at the same venue. :-)

The first group, we created half wrap lunch boxes that went with homemade chili (and one chef salad) and the second was a loaded baked potato 🥔 bar (potatoes from Worzalla and Sons) along with platters and creamy mac and cheese for the kiddos. :-)

Miss Michelle had her opportunity to attend her first Portage County Business After Hours as Dilly Dahl Deli catered some custom Oktoberfest skewers and German inspired deviled eggs. 😋

It was a pleasure creating items for Miss Sarah at Section 715 and we hope everyone had a great time with the Oktoberfest themed festivities. :-)

The Story of Dilly Dahl Deli

Hi Everyone!

It’s been a minute since I’ve logged onto Facebook on an actual computer and I see this nifty little thing on here about telling my story, so I’m like, alrighty then. :-)

My name is Amy Van Meter; I’ve been in the hospitality industry (mainly bartending) for the past 12 years.

When I was 18, I had the option of going to school and at the time, it was a toss-up between hospitality management and journalism. I ended up graduating with a BA from UW-Stevens Point in 2009 for Communication and had a run as a reporter for the Voice of Wisconsin Rapids until they closed.

Since high school, I’ve always bartended and had entertained the idea of running my own business; at home, I was constantly cooking and hosting dinner parties with my friends to try new recipes.

The longer I continued working in the hospitality industry, the deeper my passion grew of starting my own business.

After taking some online classes in hospitality management and getting some business advice through the Small Business Association, I decided to try it on my own and opened Dilly Dahl Deli in Aug. 2017.

Currently, my business serves lunches to the employees at the Lands’ End building in Stevens Point on Thursdays; I am hoping to expand this through 2018 and am working on landing some events as well. :-)

My main menu consists of deli style sandwiches (both hot and cold now!), wraps, salads and homemade soups; there may be more to come this year as well!

And why is it called Dilly Dahl Deli? I named it after our cats, Miss Dahlia and Mr. (Dill) Pickles. :-) My boyfriend, Peter, designed the cute logo.
