And the winner of the 2024 WABA Wildly Amazing Bite-Sized appetizers competition is…HaSEAAC! 😃

The purpose of the Hmong and South East Asian American Club (HaSEAAC) is to promote awareness and provide an extensive understanding of the Hmong and Southeast Asian culture to the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and the local community through personal experience, knowledge and/or historical understanding.

The entire event is organized, staffed, set up and taken down 100% by volunteers - PCCF has zero paid employees! It is truly a testament to the generosity of our community. Dear PCCF Fans: It's with a heavy heart that we announce we will not be able to hold the 2022 festival planned for May 14th of 2022. With the unpredictable nature of Covid variants and the nature of our event makes it all but impossible to imagine a safe way for us to get everyone together, indoors, to celebrate the cultural diversity of Portage County in-person, during a pandemic. And, because our preparations begin now, we have to make the call. We miss you, we love you, we simply can't wait for the day that we can all get together again to celebrate our shared history together. But, the safety of our guests, our vendors/performers and our volunteers, remains our highest priority.
We hope to see you in person Next Year. Mark your calendars for May 13, 2023.

The Cultural Festival Passport has been one of the most popular activities for kids and their families for many years. Children “visited” other countries to have their passport stamped, just like a real passport.
This year we are offering a new activity for all ages, the Portage County Cultural Festival Virtual Passport. You will be able to explore Central Wisconsin’s international connections and fill your passport without traveling anywhere. This activity is fun for all ages.

There are some questions with more than one possible right answer. Have fun and see how many you can get. Some of our answers will be published later this month.
