We seek customer service-minded individuals with prior customer service experience and/or dispatching experience to join our team!

We are currently looking for someone available to work weekends between the hours of 5:00am-5:00pm.

The responsibilities for this position include:
Answering phone calls;
Entering data correctly in a fast-paced environment;
Dispatching orders for Med City Taxi and Yellow Cab;
Assisting drivers for our company and with our sister companies;
Assisting in dispatching for our sister companies
Ability to multi-task

Requirements for the position include:
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Able to type and use various software applications.
Able to use multiple sources information to provide solutions for our customers
Able to speak, write, and type in English
Able to read a map and use online mapping software.
A basic knowledge of Rochester and the surrounding area will help greatly when dispatching.

I followed Taxi number 80 into my NW neighborhood this afternoon. The driver drove slowly down my street and used his turn signals! I appreciate it when a business's drivers are respectful of neighborhood speed limits and are courteous drivers. Nice job number 80!

Big Shout out to Kris !! Way to Go

Meet Kris Geerdes. He's a cab driver by day and he stocks shelves overnight at Hy-Vee. Last night, I stopped at Hy-VeeBarlow to pick up a few things (milk, eggs, fruit, yogurt, etc.) after the 10 p.m. newscast as I often do when the day gets too busy. As I get to the register, a line forms. The kind cashier reads me my total $41.48. I swipe my card. Declined. He says, "that's funny, it looks different. It says unauthorized." We try again. Same thing. As you can imagine, at this point I'm confused and embarrassed. I knew I had enough, but as the line at 11:49 p.m. got longer, I asked to use their ATM. There, I see I clearly have a balance and tried to withdraw cash. It wouldn't work. I then realized my card had expired. Frustrated at the whole situation, I walked back to the register ready to tell them to put all my groceries back. Before I could get there, Kris tapped me on the shoulder and said, "I've seen you here before, here's $45. I know what it feels like to have that happen and you can come back and get me next time." I about started to cry. I was so moved. The next day, I needed to return to pay him back for his kind gesture, but more importantly I wanted to thank him again. Because while it may have been just $45 for him, it meant the world to me. A true reminder that kindness exist and that compassion and understanding can be shown among strangers at any time in this ever changing world. Except, now we're no longer strangers, but friends.
