Happy New Year everyone! 😻 Meet , the newest addition to the Profit family. I’ve been quiet while we dealt with some big changes, focused on steadily rebuilding our metaphorical ship. There’s still more to do but I couldn’t wait any longer to share some pics of Virginia with y’all!
She’s a Siberian like our Digby was, which means she’ll be bigger than most house cats and despite a fluffy coat, they’re quite hypoallergenic. Siberians have a personality that some say is more dog like, and in my experience having Siberians and pit bulls… I get it. Digby was king of the pack and Virginia is real fond of her big brother. From what we’ve researched her coloring is called “Lilac Lynx Point”, I love her creamy tonal striped socks and dusty lil paws. And her tail looks like she stole it off a raccoon.
We adopted Virginia from a family who was looking to rehome her, they had 4 or 5 other adult cats who were bullying the kitten. To be honest, they weren’t taking good care of her. They were feeding her food for senior cats with kidney disease, causing her growth to be stunted. She was just 4 pounds at 6 months old, for comparison Digby was 4 pounds at 3 months old. Good news is, doc says she’ll make up for it and it shouldn’t have a permanent effect on her growth. She also had a sinus infection but she’s been so good about taking her meds and is feeling feisty and strong now.
named her “Virginia Valentine” after 2 of her favorite TV characters, Virginia from “Raising Hope” and Faye Valentine from “Cowboy Bebop”. And because we moved back to Virginia! 😯 More on that soon…
