Everyone meet the newest addition to the Profit pack! Formerly “Campbell”, we adopted him from the yesterday. He was abandoned, tied to a pole last January 😢 and at 19 months old he’s spent most of his life in the shelter. Remy’s very loving and gentle but strong and playful too, we’re so thrilled to have him in our lives.

Last weekend I unveiled pieces from an upcoming collection I’ve titled “16 Bars”. The WIP body of work & future art show will be a dedication to my biggest inspiration: Hip-Hop. I have begun work on the series of 16 sneaker masks, all made from rapper x sneaker collabs. One of my goals is to reach a higher level of lyricism in my own art & photography.

The first masks in the series represent & pay homage to . Let’s clock some of the details in the photo, titled after their triumphant 2025 return album - “Let God Sort Em Out”…

1. Modeled by my good friend Keshaun Blunt, born and raised in VA Beach.
2. The plants aren’t pink, they’re “infrared”. Inspired by Pusha T’s song “Infrared” but also by Richard Mosse’s infrared war photography from the war in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (Slide 3).
3. adidas Fear of God boots on foot because Pusha’s debut 2010 mixtape was titled “Fear of God”.
4. I originally planned to just make a Pusha mask because I had the EQTs. But Malice reminded us this summer how important their duo is. Malice has not had a sneaker collab so I chose to use one of my Cuban Link masks instead. I decided to give it a stone/cement look over a gold finish because I think Malice represents strength when faith is a foundation.
5. That denim jacket is from Pusha’s personal collection. What you don’t see is the BXR x Clipse tee underneath. (So hyped to wear that tee regularly, repping LA & VA 🤘😍)
6. Peep the dove wrapped in plastic wrap & packing tape. That bird might flip, but it don’t sing.

Today marks 15 years since the release of my first sneaker mask. How many of you have heard me tell the origin story in person? I know a hand full of you can probably recite the whole thing verbatim after hearing me tell it to strangers at conventions, artshows or just some poor soul who we ran into who happened to ask “Oh, you’re an artist? What do you do?” 😅🙄 (DMX voice: “Here we go again!”) 🗣️🤨 Thank you so much to everyone who has been a part of the journey, whether it has been as a fan, a friend, a model, a collector, a curator, an assistant/apprentice/mentor/collaborator. Each and every one of you played a part in “one helluva ride.”

Y’all!!! I been scrambling, grinding, & hustling to finish new work for my show opening next week! In fact, I been working so hard on making the art I’ve neglected promoting the show as much as I should be. Please help me spread the word! 🙏🤓
