More LED walls and line arrays on 40' climbing towers.
And it sure is going to rain in a few hours!
These are stamped for 65mph, and I'm glad for that! We don't expect anything above 12 mph today and tomorrow, but you know how a downdraft can come along and make a mess of your best laid plans. Having a nice high wind rating from the engineers makes me smile.

Bucknell University Commencement and the weather was beautiful. These 2 climbing truss rigs are 43' tall so the LED walls get 20+ feet off the ground so they can be seen over the side canopies. These are engineer stamped for 65mph winds and can lift 16,000 pounds each. Water ballasts only, no tie downs into the ground. We use them in hotels too, to avoid rigging to the ceiling. Scaled down, of course.

We are offering the opportunity of a lifetime to high school students who are interested in technical production, whether they come from a theater background or a music background. Interns can work in the shop on their schedule and will handle pro sound, lighting, staging, scenic, rigging, and video gear. They will have many opportunities to work on show sites and get paid to do it. There is no better way to really learn how to work in the special event / concert / theater fields that getting some hands-on time. Message us for more information.

Bucknell University support structure is up waiting for audio and video to load in. Great crew and good fun working outside in the sun again!

We had a small hiccup when the audio company said they wanted to hang 3,000 pounds on the cantilever when we were only ready for 2,000. The issue isn't the cantilever - we ran a strap from the end back to the tower so it was cool. The issue was the 3,000 # of audio + the 1,000 # of LED wall + appx 1,200 # of truss and motors = 5,200 #, which exceeds the lifting motor's capacity by 1,200 #. The solution was simply to lock off the horizontal truss to the tower with Gakflex slings. The tower in this configuration is rated between 6,000 # - 8,000 #, depending on the safety factor. Since the structure is stamped at 65mph naked and at 45mph fully loaded, and we got approval from the manufacturer after talking it through, we feel very confident in our solution.

The joke is on us though. When the audio company showed up yesterday to hang their rig, their guy decided to back off the added 1,000 # of speakers and return to the original specification.

Still nice to know we haven't forgotten everything after 14 months of enforced Covid down time.
