Good morning! As of today, we will not be accepting any new catering requests. We will be ending our catering services for large events indefinitely of October 1, 2023.
We will be serving select menu items at our physical location soon in Stone Mountain and a la carte “by the pan” for small group orders.

Good Morning!! Have you ever wondered how fresh meats, poultry, breads, cereals, or even the seasonings we buy in the grocery stores maintain its shelf life and preserve freshness without spoiling? Well, it's mostly due to this innovative pioneer right here. His name is Dr. Lloyd A. Hall. He was an African American inventor and food chemist.

Dr. Hall was born in Elgin, Illinois in 1894. He received his B.A. of Science from Northwestern University in 1914, a Master of Science in 1916, and a Doctor of Science from Virginia State College in 1944.

He devoted his life works to the preservation of meat curing, seasonings, bakery products, and and other substances that keep our food fresh and flavorful. His most successful invention was the combination complex chemical salts resulting in what we know today as curing salt.

He also found a way to remove gases and mixtures in products better known as vacuum sterilization, which is applied today to keep hospital supplies, cosmetics, and medications sterile.

Before his death in 1971, he received over 100 patents, and became the first African American to sit on the board of directors of the American Institute of Chemists.
