We got married eight years ago.
About nine years ago, my sister said something to me during planning that really resonated. She said if we don’t get the videography done for us, get it for our children. (She’s never steered me wrong. Ever👯‍♀️).

We watch our wedding video every anniversary, and this year we showed the boys. If there is ever a question *if* you should document your wedding, do it. While we LOVE our photo album, it’s magical to relive the recorded moments and show our boys where our story got its start. “Oh, and when the kids are older, we’ll teach them to fly..” 🎥❤️

April, you’ve been good to us! This little boy has had a red-letter MONTH! With family in two states (means 2 parties!), a school celebration, and a celebration on his actual birthday — we did alright by “five” 🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂 Some might think it’s a little much, but I want our little boy to know just how loved he is by the amazing people in his world. I say celebrate ALL the days 😉☺️ Thanks for giving us a reason to celebrate you, Lucas; you are so loved! Happy fifth birthday, my little lion.

Got to spend some time today at this place that is so special to me. This is where I worked as a banquet waitress when I was in high school. This is where I learned the ins and outs of events. This is where I fell in LOVE with events. I planned my sister’s bridal shower here, our wedding reception was here, my baby shower was here... one of my best friends’ bridal showers was here. It’s special for so many reasons. And today we made some more memories here when our closest friends’ baby was showered here today. I might have to get on the team because she planned this shower to a T! You’re amazing, ! We cannot wait to meet baby boy D! 💙👶🏼☔️

If you ask my husband, my birthday is not a one-day celebration. And, he isn’t wrong. I’ve been celebrating my last trip around the sun for a few days, and why shouldn’t I be? I feel so lucky for this life I live, for my health, for the people who love me and bring me joy.. so of course I’m celebrating! I have been reliving Saturday night in my head for the past three days. Jocelyn and John, “thank you” doesn’t even begin to express how grateful I am that you trusted me with planning your special day. I am still in awe over every detail — big and little — that made your day so incredibly magical. I am so happy for you two that you found each other; the piece that completes the other. It’s safe to say that your kindness and love — to each other and also to everyone you know — is infectious. What an incredible wedding. I wish you both nothing but love, light, and a happiness to last a lifetime. I wasn’t sure how this would all pan out when we were planning it. It was better than I EVER imagined! This ZUMBA team led the guests to the most amazing sequence — a different dance to four different songs. I was in absolute awe. The whole night was PURE MAGIC.
