Just had the chance to check out a great new bar/restaurant and learning center all wrapped into 1. Friends in Boston proper, head over to Somerville and check out Lehrhaus for a drink a nosh or a meal. Friends everywhere else take the ride and grab some great drinks and dinner. Staff was great too!

Less then 24 hours out from the final service of this incredible 2 week experience of pop-up Mishkan and I’m torn between taking a nap and beginning to plan what comes next for Mishkan. While the 15 plus hour work days that became routine while adding a restaurant service to a busy catering life could have been grueling, they were anything but…
The energy generated by being around an amazing team and a dining room full of happy guests created such a great vibe. As this run closes, there are some people who deserve huge thanks!
At the top of the list, 2 pieces that had to jump on board if this had any chance to work are Crown K kosher/Rabbi Hamaoui, and Restauranteur Avi Shemtov. First Crown k was not afraid to face the significant challenges in turning an existing restaurant kosher and they met them head on. Rada Roda was a standout mashgiach from Crown k and made sure that Mishkan operated throughout with the highest kashrut integrity.
Avi Shemtov... what can I say.. He not only offered his gorgeous restaurant up for a couple of week rental, but then agreed to collab on menus, cooking and staffing. It was a blast and a true culinary treat to watch Avi in action and get to taste some of Boston’s best food.
The team from A Perfect Taste led by Chef Jonathan Powers and consisting of Cathy, Michael, Roger, Mekela and Jackie crushed it and were joined by some of Avi’s all stars including Chris, Andy, Josh, Eric,Alex and Justin who were the key to executing restaurant services given our expertise coming in (and going out🤣) is catering.
Perhaps most importantly…the community near and as far as Albany who joined our dining room for what I think and hope was truly a unique and awesome kosher experience for Massachusetts. As cliche as it is, that’s what drives us to do what we do.🙏🙏🙏

ONE MORE NIGHT!! We have heard from a lot of you all day today with thanks (we appreciate you!!) and requests to keep Mishkan going. While the pop-up will go away for a bit, we are excited to announce that we are able to keep the space 1 more service and as such we are going to run 1 more cool night tomorrow, Thursday 2/16. Come join us for the concluding dinner of what has been such a great couple of weeks!

Tonight’s service has been a blast!! Last couple of hours of pop-up Mishkan before this 2 week ride closes for now. Tables opening up for last seating a bit after 8. Come on out and try the incredible Chef’s tasting menu or grab some items a la carte
