In 1976 a young man named Rick Carlyon started working for at The Ledgewood Florist in Stow, while attending Kent State University. He worked as a delivery person for then owner, George Andrews. A few short years after he joined the business, the owner decided to sell. Intrigued by the opportunity to be a business owner himself, the then 26 year old Rick decided to take a chance and he purchased the business.

On December 1st 1979, along with his older brother Bob Carlyon, Oregon Corners Florist was born! For over 41 years the brothers have built a solid and reputable business here in the heart of Stow. From everyday arrangements to funeral flowers, holiday gifts to weddings, the two Carlyon men have made Oregon Corners Florist a local business to last!
