~Happy International Women’s Day~
The mimosa flower was chosen to symbolize IWD in the 1940’s as an emblem of womens’ strength, sensibility, and sensitivity. The flower is both resilient and delicate, and blooms before spring making it seasonally appropriate and a wonderful representation of strong independent women. It smells heavenly and dries beautifully. A favorite foliage and flower.

Friendly reminder that Valentine’s Day is Sunday! I’ve still got a few arrangements featuring soft and romantic peach garden roses and bunches of parrot tulips available for preorder and pickup on Sunday 2/14 in Stow.

Nan’s Market is the perfect spot to pick up a a whole array of locally made goodness for your valentine, be sure to browse their shelves. Check my stories for highlights of some of the makers and products.

And most importantly don’t forget a coffee, smoothie, or treat for your special one (and yourself!). Nan’s lunch bowl full of the most delicious vegetables, a Golden Milk latte, and a locally crafted Kombucha would steal my heart any day. But for all my valentines at home a breakfast sandwich and griddled cinnamon brioche would make their day.
