Hey friends, I've been doing a lot of timeline work lately and having conversations about how photography coverage and wedding events intersect. There are some really important things to consider which will help you determine the amount of hours you need your photographer:

🤍 Do you want to do a first look and where? Do you have a dream spot in your mind for where you envision having your first look?

🤍 Is it important to you to get ALL your photos done before your ceremony begins? Most photographers I've worked with will want at least 30 minutes each for your wedding party and family photos in addition to around 30-45 minutes for your first look and couple photos.

🤍 Do you envision having your photographer capture getting ready photos that include hair and makeup, hanging out, lounge or PJ time, AND getting into your dress or suit?

🤍 Are any of these things happening at a location that is different from your ceremony/reception venue?

>> If you answered YES to these questions, you really need to think about your booking now and budget for at least 8 hours of coverage. It's tempting to book 6 , but that will cover the bare minimum of your events. Every photographer is different, but I recommend this #1 so you don't feel rushed and so you capture as much of your day as you can.
