I’ve been trying to mix it up in my gallery but fear not tablescapes are still my jam! For this lovely table the couple sent me images of sunset colors as the main inspiration, shades of purple going from dark rich hues into lavender, pinks and yellows.

Hi there! This season has been so busy today I haven’t even had much time to post. But I’m trying to get back into it because I love sharing my work, advice and gorgeous images from weddings I’ve been honored to be apart of! This was a stunning wedding we recently received the gallery from that took place in May.

Getting to be apart of a couple's special day is honor enough. When they let you know how incredible the day was for them because of your small part in it, well that just pushes it over the top!

Rachael took our whole vision and put it into real life. My husband was apprehensive about using a planner in the first place, thinking we could “save and do things ourselves since it’s a small wedding “. That statement was so wrong and my husband even admits it after our amazing day! :) if yo...

Be in the moment! For all my couples but especially my summer ones who are quickly approaching their date my biggest piece of advice is to relax and embrace the moment. It can get challenging when you feel mired down in rsvps, this relative doesn’t want to sit with this other relative, everyone has an opinion about everything and you’re up to your ears in little details to tick off your list. It will all come together it always does! The most important things are already in place and a lot of those little things you’re stressing over will seem so insignificant before you know it! Now I’m not saying details aren’t important (I love details and believe they really set an experience apart). BUT they are NEVER more important than your sanity or happiness! So here are some tips on how to get it done while staying sane!

1. Keep a list with due dates and notes (preferably saved on your computer or phone in gdrive so you have a history if you want to go back)

2. Enlist help! People know this is a big deal and want to help you. Whether it’s your planner, a family member, friend ask for help. And sometimes it’s best to delegate to a few people so no one person is too overwhelmed.

3. Don’t let too many opinions effect you. Yes, you want to make people happy and comfortable but if you listen to everyone’s opinion you will go cross eyed. Decide how you and your partner feel about something first and take everyone’s 2 cents with a big grain of salt. If you LOVE something don’t abandon it because it’s not someone else’s taste. Thank them for their opinion and tell them you’ll think about it. You don’t need to give anyone immediate answers.

4. Make sure you consciously take a few moments throughout your wedding to soak in your surroundings. Stop for 30 seconds and don’t worry about what you have to do next and just look around, feel your feelings and be in the moment. It’s so easy to be swept up in the hustle and bustle of the day. Like Ferris Bueller said, “life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

Wishing these two lovely people a very happy anniversary tomorrow! This was the first wedding we were fortunate to be apart of after Covid shook the entire world. This was the wedding that made me believe anything was possible. With 10 days to plan and all involved navigating uncharted territory a beautiful experience and incredible day was created. I’m forever grateful to this amazing couple and their families for putting so much trust in us. It was an epic experience and an absolute honor. Wishing Alana and Andrew all the best in the world!

What a gorgeous wedding we celebrated last weekend! This was a true celebration of what was most important to our couple Val & Andrew. Originally having planned a destination wedding, plans needed to shift as so many others have as well. But instead of letting it drag them down they fully embraced getting married in their hometown, Jersey City! The ceremony was in a lovely local park surrounded by the energy and buzzing of the city. People enjoying the spring weather were respectful but looked on grinning from ear to ear and cheering when the couple was formally announced for the first time. It was so special to see family, friends and neighbors take such joy in their union. A local string trio, played and my team transformed the park’s gazebo into an explosion of spring florals and pastels. Then onto the couple’s favorite restaurant for an incredible dinner. Also, I can’t talk about this wedding and not mention Val’s amazing cape that she opted for in lieu of a veil by . Of course Val and I got on like gang busters, as my mother would say as she is a fellow producer. Needless to say the details were on point and we loved working on them together. And Andrew was the perfect groom. Wishing the happy couple all the best!

It’s a busy week but it’s also filled with lots of design meetings which are my favorite! đŸ„° Every part of the planning process is important and is a piece of the puzzle that completes your vision. But when we dive into design we get to hone in on details and tap into how the look of your wedding will make you and your guests feel. This is the key to my approach, while aesthetics are important feelings are what remain with you. Looking back on your wedding day it’s far more likely you’ll remember how you felt rather than the colors and textiles you used. But these elements are part of the mosaic that foster the feeling you want to cultivate and stay with you. So that’s why my first design question is always, “how do you want to feel on your wedding day?”

Veil shots are a must! Speaking of which, definitely discuss your shot list with your photographer in advance. You hired an awesome photographer whose style you love and that you trust to capture all the important and candid moments. But it’s still important to go over any specific images that are important to you! And you definitely want to do this in advance for a few reasons:
1. This gives you time to think about it and not feel rushed
2. It allows your photographer to work it into their timeline
3. You don’t want to be orchestrating on your wedding day you want to be in the moment
4. Wedding photographers are artists and letting them have the freedom to do what they do best on the big day means you’ll get them their best work when they deliver your final gallery.
No idea what to even include on your shot list? That’s what your planner is for 😉
