To everything there is a season…and a time to every purpose under heaven. It seemed appropriate to share this verse as we have decided it is time for us to no longer have our retail market open. Many things factored in this decision. In the end, we felt it was time to do this, and the decision was made knowing this was best for our family. The retail market will no longer be open to sell flowers, strawberries, produce, baked goods, ice cream and all the other concessions. We truly appreciate all who have supported us as customers and those who have worked with us the past 13 seasons.
Harvest Barn will continue to be utilized as an event venue as it has been for the past seven years. The Venue, located behind the market, is climate controlled for year round comfort and has been used for weddings, banquets, graduation parties, business meetings, family gatherings, reunions, benefits, fundraisers etc. To inquire about availability of The Venue, you can message us through our page.
Harvest Barn has evolved several times since we first opened its doors and is continuing to do so today. Thank you, again, for your continued support and understanding our decision. We wish you all the best!

Love this ….

"I am praying this reaches this young man's parents!!!

Tonight as I was leaving football practice with my three kiddos my 4-year-old was so tired he started crying and acting a fool as we were getting in the van.

My 7-year-old daughter started crying because I told her we were having red potatoes as a side for dinner and clearly she wasn’t a fan sooo I threw my hands up and said FORGET it - McDonald’s tonight!!

We go through the drive through order food all three kids are now crying for one reason or the other I go to pay - I LEFT MY PURSE AT HOME.

Welp, now I wanted to cry.

I look at the young man with tears in my eyes just from being stressed and annoyed and say, 'Hun, I am so sorry but I have to cancel that order. I left my purse at home when we went to football tonight.'

WITHOUT HESITATION he takes out his wallet and swipes his card before I could even say 'No, I will be right back!'

I was like wait no hun, it’s ok! I will come back through! Then he replies 'No, it’s totally fine, my pleasure.'

I snapped a quick picture and asked his name to which he replied Wyatt ma’am. I told him I would be right back with cash for him & he tried hard to talk me out of it.

I just want his parents to know how KIND & COMPASSIONATE your son was tonight! He made this stressed-out momma pause for a moment and realize this is exactly what we parents are trying to do, raise great humans.

Well Wyatt sir, you are an amazing human!!!

I went back and handed him cash and had to make him take it because he didn’t want to take more than he had paid but I wanted him to know that when you put good out in the world it comes back to you tenfold!

Wyatt, do not let this world change your kind heart young man for its people like YOU that will change this world for the better!"

Folks - wanted to let you all know, today will be Harvest Barn’s last day to be open this season. The strawberries have done their job and the market will be closed after today till next May. The market will be open till 2 this afternoon. Our sincere thanks to all of you for the support you have given to Harvest Barn in the 2023 season. See you next year with another harvest of fresh strawberries probably starting next June! 🍓🍓🍓

Wow! Another fantastic day for already picked strawberries! Right now we have even more on the shelf than the day before! This is the last week for our strawberries so if you were wanting any, now is the time!! Market will be open till 4… Come to Harvest Barn!🍓🍓🍓

Folks we currently have a good inventory of fresh picked strawberries on the shelves. At the moment we have both, 1sts and 2nds. Now is a great time to grab some of these ripe, flavorful local strawberries! Market is open till 4 today. Patch is winding down so come get while you can! Come to Harvest Barn! 🍓🍓🍓

Folks - we’ve been getting messaged with questions about pick your own. Just thought we should put a post addressing some recent questions. We are at the point in the season where we are picking every day, Monday-Saturday. There is a point where the patch is picked out for the day. That depends on how many berries are ripe and how many come to pick. We absolutely do pick, rain or shine! Cloudy days will slow down the ripening of the berries. The berries have been really, really nice so far this year!! We’ve been impressed with that and others have shared the same comment. Our field manager does an excellent job managing the patch. Thank you for respecting her instructions of where to pick! This helps us get as much as we can out of our patch, so berries don’t rot, which means more berries for everyone! Hope this was helpful. As always, fresh shortcake and pies from our kitchen along with homemade vanilla custard ice cream! Come to Harvest Barn! 🍓🍓🍓

We are done with pick your own for the day. These cool nights are holding us back a bit. We have plenty of shortcakes baked fresh and ready to go. We are currently not taking any pre orders for berries. They will be first come first served. Thanks for understanding!

Our pickers are getting berries picked as we speak for our shelves. We’ve got a good amount of our delicious shortcakes baked fresh and ready to go with your berries. We will have ready picked berries on the shelf at 9 am, pick your own is going on right now. Stop out and see us!

We are picked out for pick your own today. We will have a ‘light’ pick your own tomorrow. We were picked heavily today. So glad so many have already been able to come get their berries this year. Folks - we are totally sold out of berries on the shelf for today. Our pickers will be picking again tomorrow morning and we will start to have them on the shelf at 9 AM. We are no longer taking orders, rather a first come, first serve basis. We will have pick your own, again, tomorrow until we are picked out for the day. When will that be? We won’t know till it happens and that depends on how many folks come to pick. We still have homemade vanilla custard ice cream and cut up strawberries for sundaes, and milkshakes.
