As a parent, you're so proud of their accomplishments, you're excited to see where they go... but also, your heart hurts a little. Sessions like these are so sweet. They capture these moments in time, which seems to just fly by and are gone in a flash! These memories, photographed before the big move, will last forever. I LOVE big fun wedding parties! Here are some tips to make sure your photos are carefree and lighthearted!

Tip 1: Remember this is a day of celebration, it's okay to have fun! When it's time to shoot your wedding party formals, relax. Your photographer will guide you through the process and let you know when the more serious photos will be taken, and which ones you can just have a good time in! Not every picture is a GQ cover shot, some (like the one below) is just about having a good time with the people you love!

Tip 2: Take it easy on the drinks. Drinking a glass of wine can definitely calm the nerves, but a little too much can cause folks to get a little too loose. You want fun photos, not sloppy ones. There's plenty of time during the reception to have a great time and have another glass.

Tip 3: Trust your photographer, especially during the silly shots. "Guys, want to hold the girls bouquet?" Yes, yes you do! Your photographer will not pose you in a way to embarrass you, only to elicit laughter, joy and movement for the shot! Trust the process!
