Pincushion Protea. I love the drama of these distinctive eye-catching blooms. The needles are actually individual florets. They are native of South Africa. One of mines is doing an internship in CapeTown this summer, so I will definitely try to include SA blooms in my designs over the next couple of months.

The Grace of Spring Floral Workshop
Thursday, May 23, 11 AM - 1 PM
Reeves-Reed Arboretum, 165 Hobart Avenue, Summit

Create the perfect gift for a special someone or for yourself! This refined piece will use spring blooms such as lilac, hyacinth, tulip varieties, fritillaries, clematis, hellebores, accents greens, and blossoming branches. Great for beginners!

In this workshop, you'll learn how to choose, condition, and arrange flowers, as well as tips about seasonal blooms, while surrounded by nature and beauty at Reeves-Reed Arboretum. All experience levels are welcome. Classes begin promptly at 11 AM am and run for approximately two hours. We will round out the afternoon with snacks and refreshments while we create together!

This workshop is hosted by Daica Skrobala, owner and floral designer of Polycarp Flowers, a studio florist based in Summit, NJ.
