Philly Belle TULIPS are a striking red, fringed beauty. We potted up the tubs with Christmas and Valentine gifting, in mind this season. Pick one up for $39, and just add water. But the tulips won't bloom, until Easter! We know. The gift is anticipation. The gift is a promise of spring. Plus there won't be any tulip tubs left by Easter, because we take our task seriously. Goals. Every season we set them, and every season they change! Some goals remain on our list constantly or carry over, others shift in priority while some fall off. There are a few goals that are always on the list, yet never get done. That's small business, especially small family business. There's only so much of you to go around, and you get to balance it all. We enjoy the extreme challenges, and also the freedom to create our lifestyle. Guess what's still on our list? Update our online presence with an interactive website, and create an email campaign. Ugh! We don't want to! That's why it's not done. We even got our kids to help, and it's still not fun. Please no, let's not spend our time together, on that. We have so many better things, to do. If you wanna winter with Rilona, she's arrived. You can expect huge coral blooms on several healthy stalks. Just plant inside, and watch her grow! She's worth the wait. Blooms begin around Valentine's, and last through about Easter. Making Mini's started out as an efficient way, to offer our loose ends. No wasted perishables here, we couldn't afford to lose a dime. That was 25 years ago! We never knew then, that these tiny bundles, would spread so much joy. We strive to keep them fresh and available, every day we're open. And we love your special orders, thank you. While Felipa rests her hands, our Natalie has picked up Mini production. We think she taught her very well! And so it goes. Minis carry on, and maybe tamales are on the Christmas menu. Some people collect jars of brilliant summer sauces, creating picture perfect pantries that promise the fresh taste of summer, all year long. You've seen those glowing rows of peaches, pickles and pasta sauces. It's Martha Stewart gorgeous! That's not us. Our shelves are stocked with pine cones. You make a request, then we respond. That's small business. Y'all have the best ideas! Of course, we can make up a tiny bag, of 10 mixed tulips. Easier said, than done. Once you mix the varieties, gulp ... there's no going back. 💚 Growing up on a flower bulb farm, we never mixed the varieties! It was our eternal mission, to keep the bulb varieties absolutely true to name. That was our greatest reward. But hey, times change. My hand shook writing the bags. Mom was shaking her head, and rolling her eyes. April squealed, "Just do it!" I did it. It's done. My other sister called and asked, why her amaryllis bulbs don't bloom at Christmas, like ours do? "You gotta have the correct bulbs, not all amaryllis are the same. There's Christmas bloomers, and there's Valentine bloomers" I explained. Anyway, we have 5 dark burgundy jumbo amaryllis bulbs available. They will bloom for Christmas! We had bright red, and double white, lots of them. But my other sister came on my day off, and bought them all. When three generations walk through our door, and proceed directly to our counter, we notice. They mean business, and we understand. The bride had her specific bouquet in mind, and a bout for her groom to match. "That's all." Well, not really. "Tiny sunflowers dancing throughout and a fall floribunda, but not too big.
