When I was messaged about this cake, I panicked. It's a mixed media cake featuring water colored scenery. My initial reaction was no. I decided to meditate on my reaction and have a conversation with myself about that reaction. I eventually said yes, knowing I would be on edge the entire month. I'm proud of myself for that 'yes'. It came at a cost. I wanted to spend my last free week, before my graduate course, to relax and travel. I love how the John Deere Cake turned out. I'm grateful for the opportunity.
