The Grid premieres tomorrow night at Magitek Games! This is an all out casuals only Tuesday night FGC event, dedicated with love to the classic NorCal arcade days. Multiple different fighting games added to the lineup with room for more. Here's a few shots from our test setup. $5 venue cover from 6pm-midnight if you want to play. Spectators are 100% free if you wish to invite friends or loved ones that just want to hang out with you.

Greetings NorCal FGC,

We at Magitek Games & Capsule Entertainment NorCal FGC are pleased to announce "The Grid".

Starting next week at Magitek Games we begin our journey to help re-create that classic NorCal arcade feel many of our players love and miss so much. After announcing our plans for Tuesday nights, the community feedback has been positive and greater than we expected. You have no idea how much happiness this has given us to know so many players felt the same as us lately. We all miss that environment that gave birth to the FGC, the NorCal arcades and it's culture.

The $5 venue cover fee for this event was made to be as low and affordable as possible for our players. We want to encourage as many players from different fighting game communities to join in regardless if you're a professional player, new or just love playing casual. Although Magitek Games is open earlier, The Grid will begin at 6pm and run until 12am. The venue lighting has been dimmed to feel more like an 80s-90s arcade and we plan to play music in the background to create a more chill, loungy, casual experience. Our list of games is just what we can offer on hand. Players may BYOC their consoles and games to add to the experience as long as there's enough space. I already know of a few community members that are planning to bring other consoles and devices. This event isn't limited to only fighting games, in fact we plan to play other multiplayer games like couch/party games too.
