Lassen County boasts some of the best trails in the region and is home to hundreds of outdoor enthusiasts including hikers, runners, and mountain bikers. Competitive racing is still in its infancy stage and the locale has seen an increased interest in timed competitions. The quality of an event and the posi

tive experience of its participants is measured in tangible results and by setting individual benchmarks. In an effort to promote our beautiful trails and provide an experience which begs a participant's return, the Bizz Running Company has made its Mission to that end.

**Southside Scramble UPDATE
There will be LATE registration on Friday June 21 at packet pickup at the Historic Train Depot, 601 Richmond Road. You may use cash, Venmo, or credit card (online only and Runsignup fees apply).
On Race Day, there is VERY LIMITED Race Registration between 6 AM and 7 AM. Cell coverage is very spotty at Hobo Camp, so Venmo and online thru Runsignup.com will most likely NOT be available. Cash is perhaps the only option.
If you want to use your credit card, you will need to register at Runsignup.com PRIOR TO ARRIVING AT HOBO CAMP. When you arrive, look for the registration table and fill out the paper form to get your assigned race bib.

Just in time for the holiday weekend - the Devils Corral bridge over the Susan River to the Southside Trail is in! Enjoy a 7 mile hike or bike ride along the rim of the Susan River Canyon. Thank you BLM!!

Check this out! This is why the Southside Scramble is in late June!!!

BLM reports the Susan River is still too high to install the bridge crossing at Devil’s Corral. For now, trail users can connect to the Bizz and Southside Trail at two intersections east of Devil’s Corral.

Fording the River is not recommended until water levels recede. We’ll keep you posted when the bridge is in.

Tons of fun in Truckee with Donner Party Mountain Runners at the Racing Gnome Snowshoe race. We timed the 5k/10k on the iPad while staying warm by our firepit in 12 degree temps! There was even a good conversation about Athletic Brewing Company NA beers around the fire!
