And that’s a wrap!! Cheers to another fabulous year of events here with Knot a Second Thought! 🥂 Huge thank you to all of our amazing clients and happy couples, you are who we do this for, year after year. We are so grateful for the support and for all those that choose us to be a part of their special day! We love what we do and can’t wait to do it all again next season!
For now, we rest!! We take the next couple of months “easy”, meaning lots of emails, phone calls, meetings, floral proposals and all those fun details- but from my cozy sofa in my sweats most of the time! 😊 cheers!

We had such a great time in New Bern last weekend with Worth and Liz! It’s hard to believe we’re rolling into our last wedding weekend of 2025! It’s been such a phenomenal year 🥂

2026 calendar update, we’ve had an influx of inquiries the past two weeks. So I wanted to post a quick calendar update for next year. Our open dates are limited!

April- booked
May- one weekend open
June- one weekend open (potentially)
July/August- have some availability
Sept- booked
October- booked
November- one weekend open

Also booking now for 2027 🥂

And just like that, it’s November! 🍂 We’re entering into MY personal favorite season, Holidays + Winter. I love cozy sweater weather, baking, crafting, taking it slow. We’re almost there!
We have just two events left for the 2025 Wedding Season and they’re both going to be so fun!! This weekend we’re headed to New Bern 🥂

We’re off to Charlotte today for our last wedding of October! It’s a family affair this week- I’m bringing the whole crew along- everyone has tasks and duties and the kids will get to see what I do from start to finish.
This year has flown by, we’ve had such a great time with each and every one of our couples. Looking forward to the last few events to round out the year 👏🏽

Whew! What a week we just wrapped up. It was busy and beautiful, packed with so much designing and detail checking- we appreciate everyone’s patience that was waiting on a response from us. It was all hands on deck but we did it and couldn’t be more proud!
Today we’re all caught up in our inbox and all messages should have been returned. We’re rolling right into the next stretch of back to back events from here through the middle of November, to round out our 2025 season. This weekend we are off to Charlotte for a wedding at a private residence!

Thankful post this Sunday morning as I reflect on this amazing weekend we just had. We’re a small but mighty team here at Knot a Second Thought. It’s a true small, family business. I wanted to take just a minute to give a special shoutout to my husband. He plays an often thankless role, but he is doing so much behind the scenes-there’s no way I could do it without him!
Just this week he designed and fabricated, assembled and hung this installation to hold 300 Lillie’s over the dance floor. In addition to taking and picking kids up from school, cooking dinner, reserving and picking up the U-Haul. Helped me process thousands of blooms. Swept the literal floor under my feet as things piled up. Brought me dinner in the shop so I didn’t have to stop working, lots of long nights this last week, sooo many flowers. He came to help set up yesterday, tried to keep me calm and level headed, brought drinks for the team to stay hydrated. Then came back at 10pm to help clean it all up.
I’m dead in the bed now and he’s back out there cleaning out the U-Haul.

I am so thankful for him, everyday. There is nothing he won’t do to support me, our family, our business. And since so much of what he does is behind the scenes, many don’t know how involved he really is! So huge THANK YOU to Mark, I love him so much and this is just one reason!

Alright October, here we go!
We have events every weekend from pretty much now until Thanksgiving! We look forward to these Fall events every year, I try not to have a favorite season, but I do think fall here on the coast is SO special!

We’ve also sent out 8 contracts in the last week, for 2026 and 2027 dates. We have room for about 3/4 more events in 2026, then we will close the calendar. We’re no longer booking more than one event per weekend, so if you want to work with our team- don’t wait, reach out and let’s chat! We’d love to help bring your visions to life 💕

They say it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day. I don’t know who “they” are, but I don’t think these two need much help in the luck department. Their love for each other is so obvious, I don’t think it’s luck.

It’s Monday and we’re back in the office after an amazing wedding weekend! We have about 47 emails to answer, so bare with us today as we start replying to those.

*note this is our busiest month, so please give us grace with our response times as we work as fast and thoroughly as we can! We are prioritizing those that are getting married in the next 45 days first. We promise to give you the same focus and attention when your wedding month/week/day is here! 🥂
