Banned Books Week Day 4! Today we got together with Miss Margaret as she shares her favorite banned children’s book. Here’s what she had to say about her top pick, Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak.

I have been asked if I was planning on running for a second term as Mayor.
The answer is YES.
When I first ran for mayor, my primary objective was to establish an Economic Development Commission to work towards increasing the village tax base. That effort met with significant resistance from the then village council members.
TRANSPARENCY
With four (4) new members of council taking office in January 2022 there was a significant and very positive change. That council very quickly passed the Live Streaming Policy that I had proposed that had been rejected by the previous council. Now all council, committee, and commission meetings are Live Streamed.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
The new council also approved an ordinance that I had previously proposed to establish an Economic Development Commission. That Commission was established early this year and has held an organizing meeting and held their first informational meeting. They will be gathering quite a bit of data over the next year to determine how we move forward as a village.
I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THIS PROCESS THROUGH FOR THE NEXT FOUR (4) YEARS.
