It’s 8:00 p.m. on a Friday night, and we are watching people dance and celebrate. We couldn’t help but smile as we reflected on where we are on this day and how much effort it took to reach this moment.

Wedding days are all about reflection—thinking back to younger years, embracing once-in-a-lifetime moments, and witnessing the beginning of a couple’s new journey together. They’re a roller coaster of emotions: joy, anxiety, nerves, worry, and even sadness for those who couldn’t be there. There are all kinds of tears, from heartfelt speeches to uncontrollable belly laughs over cherished memories.

As we enter this Thanksgiving season, we’re not just reflecting on today, but on all the wedding days and events we’ve been blessed to be part of. This journey has brought its own roller coaster of emotions, and we are so grateful to play a role in creating family memories that last a lifetime.

A special thank you and heartfelt congratulations to the many couples from this past summer and fall whom we missed posting about! It has been a privilege to share in your wedding journeys and to get to know you and your families.

To our amazing vendors, we’ve loved working with you and are continually inspired by your hard work, talent, and dedication. Thank you for being an integral part of the Birchwood team. Congratulations Abbey & Nathan Brehm
This beautiful country couple had a few challenges along their planning journey but it all came together on their special day! Their baby girl, Rory, was just as beautiful in her tiny laced dress. After the beautiful ceremony, the fun began and continued through out the night.
Being raised in the country myself, I just adore farm families. Planning a wedding can be hard but this wedding had to be easy compared to the hard work on their family dairy farm. One thing that was easy to see was the love that not only surrounded them but their love for each other and their super cute baby girl.

Congratulations Audrey & Corbin Fingerle!

A perfect wedding on the Eve of St. Patrick’s Day definitely didn’t happen by “Luck”. Family, friends and a team of vendors came together to make sure everything went as planned for this heartfelt couple. A beautiful homemade cross and their Unity Candle gave a whole new meaning to their ceremony. After the touching ceremony and pictures, a fun filled night began. Special fun dance songs, green beads and light up glasses filled the dance floor. A great ending to a new beginning!

Congratulations Ally & Brandon Sunday!

These two dedicated St. Louis Cardinal baseball fans started their forever together journey with a proposal at the home plate of Busch Stadium. Ally and Brandon’s love for baseball and softball started young and destiny has brought them together on this day to become one. Hardly a dry eye with touching vows and many beautiful moments. The decorations embraced their love of baseball and even their tables were named after their favorite team players. The night continued into dancing fun as their favorite “fans” joined them to cut loose on the dance floor. Wishing you two many years of winning moments together!

Congratulations McKenzie & Craig Lamson

I am way late posting our previous weekend wedding for this sweet country couple but never too late to share such a beautiful wedding story. When we met McKenzie and Craig it was as if we knew them forever. I am sure that is exactly how they made their 300 guests feel too. Everything had a special meaning even the Busch Beer towels. Not only was it a tribute for her Dad but also Craig’s favorite when he met her. The towels were definitely waving after their church wedding when they made their grand entrance. Everything went as planned and they filled the dance floor till the end of the night.

The snow dusted backdrop outside last weekend was just right for this beautiful couple. The deep red color of the dresses and glistening of the bride’s dress were captivating. Everything had a little sparkle at this wedding. Family tradition runs deep in this family and it was clear to see the love that surrounded Greg and Emily. Dancing started with the wedding party as they entered the door from their church ceremony and continued into the night. “Love is when the glitter falls off and you still see the person sparkle” We wish you two many years of love and laughter!

Congratulations to Jamie & Stephen Masters
This rare sunny winter day and the “starry” night was a perfect blend for this wedding. A theme around one of their favorite paintings “A Starry Night” by Vincent Van Gogh was the inspiration for their decorations. Family and friends didn’t disappoint with their creations. A sand ceremony blending two Michigan beach sands was very meaningful for this couple who both have long standing family traditions in Michigan. A fun filled night under the stars with dancing games lasted until the very last minute of the night. May you always be to each other a “….shining star, the one who lights up the darkest nights.”
