Marc Leo “Hano” Hanlon, age 63 of DuBois, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Christ the King Manor after fighting a valiant 20+ year battle with brain cancer.
Born on December 19, 1960, in Clearfield, PA, he was the son of the late Patrick Hanlon and Marie (Bertocchi) Hanlon. His mother survives and lives in DuBois.
Marc was a 1979 graduate of Central Christian High School and proudly belonged to Goodwill Hose Company #5.
He spent two years in the Army Reserves in Fort Knox, KY and professionally became a certified Plumber/Pipe Fitter. With that union position, Marc traveled extensively working on hospitals, prisons, schools and even nuclear power plants. He was incredibly brilliant and quick witted.
Always maintaining his independence and sense of humor, Marc enjoyed singing, drumming and had an appreciation for music. He could often be heard singing to his tunes at the Manor.
Along with his mother, Marc is survived by his daughter(Kendahl Rose Belman and her husband Aaron), his ex-wife (Susan (Smith) Kohn and husband Mike), two sisters (Kim Hanlon and Tricia Mower and her husband Cliff, and three brothers (Tim Hanlon and his wife Elona, Jeff Hanlon and his wife Jenn and Chris Hanlon and his wife Sarah Rienzi).
There will be no public visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 10 a.m. from the Chapel at Christ the King Manor with Fr. Matias Quimno as celebrant.
A dinner will follow at Christ the King Community Center – ALL friends and family are welcome.
Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you make donations to the Disabled American Veterans.
