Today I’m feeling especially grateful — not just for the fireworks and festivities, but for the freedom to chase my dreams and build something of my own. Owning a small business is a privilege I don’t take for granted, and it wouldn’t be possible without the liberty we celebrate today.

Absolutely!

Just like I COULD do all of my own photography, sew all of my own clothes, cut and color my own hair….. 🤣

But, I don’t. I don’t because I am supporting other’s services/friends AND paying for the convenience of having it done for me.

Patronize those who patronize you!

There are some really sweet girls out there working their booties off and your business is helping them put children through college, buy high school sponsorships and pour back into the community in which we all grow and thrive!

In 2010 I was (unsuccessfully) frying pork chops when a fire started. I tossed water on it and, well, we ended up in a hotel for over a month. At four and five , the boys loved the continental breakfast and swimming pool. 😬

I was asked then not to ever fry anything again and, I haven’t. Until yesterday!

Cole has recently had some big wins that I wanted to celebrate over dinner and his favorite is fried chicken. 🐓

To surprise him after work, I made homemade biscuits, fried the chicken and (bought) a strawberry cheesecake.

The kitchen was a wreck with flour and grease but, my baby was happy and gave the meal an 8/10! 🥇

Being Southern, this is really important to me!
