December is such a beautiful contradiction.

It’s chaos and calm all wrapped into one—packed schedules, long to-do lists, and the feeling that everything needs to happen at once… yet somehow there’s this quiet warmth that settles in, too.

It’s the glow of Christmas lights, the familiar traditions we return to year after year, the laughter in crowded living rooms, the comfort of being surrounded by people we love. It’s the smell of something baking, the sound of wrapping paper, the little memories we don’t realize we’re making in the middle of all the busyness.

Here’s to the beauty of December—its magic, its madness, and the moments that make it all worth it.

Some measure it in titles, trophies, or bank accounts… but real success? That’s personal.

Define success on your terms:
✔️ Peace over pressure
✔️ Growth over perfection
✔️ Purpose over comparison
✔️ Being proud of the life you’re building — not the one others expect

The moment you stop chasing someone else’s version of success and start honoring your own is the moment you truly win.

Success for me is: healthy, self-sufficient children, a peaceful home, the love of family and support of friends and getting to do something I love.

When you lead with a warm spirit, kindness has a way of circling right back to you. And when someone chooses negativity…life has a way of teaching its own lessons.

I spent a good portion of my career working in hospice before moving into geriatric psychiatry- I believe it to be a beautiful, intimate service that is a privilege to be trusted with.

When asked to provide for the Celebration of Life for Coosa Valley Hospice, I was honored.

These ladies are some of my favorites; they have servants hearts who go above and beyond every day.

Through this, I was able to also love on the wonderful families who lost loved ones in 2025 and came to honor them- what a blessing.

Thanksgiving is my very favorite holiday next to Christmas. The opportunity to slow down, reflect and spend time with those who you love the most. 🍁

For forty-two years, I have gone to my Nana and Big Daddy’s house. 🏠

The day starts with the Macy’s Day Parade and cooking. That afternoon, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends gather in Nana’s kitchen to bless the food and eat too much of it. 🦃

After, we play dice/cards while the kids throw football or jump in the leaves in the front yard. 🍂 🏈 🍂

“Traditions are the threads that stitch our years together, reminding us where we come from and who we love.” 🖤
