And just like that. The 2025 bbq season is in the bag. We finished on a strong note at the in Las Vegas, organized by Christie Vanover of . It was a phenomenal experience!!!!! We connected with some teams we haven’t seen in a while and made some new friends.
Congratulations to everyone who heard their name called and a huge congratulations to for his first GC and on RGC.
For the ancillaries we were
28 of 43 in Turkey Smoke and
3 of 36 in dessert with a Perfect-Perfect. (This was Tricia’s 1st attempt)
The 4-meat calls didn’t go as I hoped. They called top 15 in every category and I didn’t hear my name called once. I was a little disheartened to say the least because I felt that it was my best cook to date. Then they called the top 15 out of 90 and surprise, surprise, surprise, we heard our name called for 15th. We made the list without a call so I guess it was a pretty good cook after all. We can take that and use it for inspiration next year.
