It's that time of year that our sweet little ladies need to find a new home as we prep to shut down the farm for the winter. They are Isa brown Chickens (5months old), good layers and extremely friendly. We have 9 total.
$10.00 a piece or $75 for all.

It's a busy month. 11 weddings in 4 weekends. Busy. And perhaps it sounds pithy, but I'll tell you what REALLY makes this whole thing worth while. It's not the P&L or the Balance Sheet. It's not the thrill and challenge of "building a business"

It's the joy and kindness of the people. (cue violin and sappy instrumentals)

It really is. The fact that we get to be the backdrop for the very first MOMENTS of two people's magical forever is an honor. It's also a responsibility. We are woven into the tapestry of Chapter One, Page One of two people's Happily Ever After (and the lifelong memories of their families and close friends). It means we have to DELIVER. Every time - and with memorable energy, enthusiasm, and love befitting of the gravity of the moment. We do not take that responsibility lightly.

It should be exhausting - but yet, we never seem to FEEL too tired. WHY? Again - It's the PEOPLE.

To all the guests the last few weeks who have gone out of their way to say kind things about our venue and our food - thank you. To all the many guests who have gone out of their way to share heartfelt kindnesses about US - our team, our staff, our business, my FAMILY - THANK YOU. You have NO IDEA what a JOLT of energy that warmth and kindness can be on the third or fourth consecutive 13-14 hour workday. It doesn't just mean a lot. It means EVERYTHING.
