I truly believe we have the greatest community in the World. First place. Second to none. Full of abundant compassion, support, and care. When one of our community hurts, we all feel drawn and accept the challenge to lift them up.

I am sure many of you are aware of the challenges facing the Corn family, and their daughter Ashlynn's courageous cancer fight. The outpouring on social media and all over our community has been awesome to see. I can't imagine the immense mental, spiritual, emotional, and even financial strain that places on a family.

So, perhaps we can all come together, create a moment of JOY and fellowship, and also afford some valuable financial support. JOIN US for an awesome BBQ Dinner - 100% of the money raised will go to Ashlynn and her family, on FRIDAY JAN 24th at Hidden Oak Manor

You can get a ticket in the link below (capacity is 175 for the event) We will have DJ and music, bar available (ALL bar funds go to the donation amount!) and a delicious BBQ dinner. Who knows, we might even have some raffle items and other fun stuff (hint hint local business friends who want to support :)

Holiday parties are in full swing! We still have some options for last minutes events this year and we're already reserving dates for next year in any of our 3 events spaces. Anything from 15- 170 people, we have a space for you!

We've been blessed to do fundraisers for some awesome groups like Lakeland Youth Center, Little Lambs Preschool Daycare Rose Garden Recovery Community Wawasee Middle School and many many more! Keep up the great work everyone! Our community is better for you being here!! 🏆

Thank you Thank you THANK YOU to everyone who came by Farmhouse Events & Catering Saturday to shop local! It's always a little nerve-racking to host an event like this, the TERROR of dragging out poor vendors to an empty, vacant building. I know this isn't our normal 'core function' but we really wanted to be a part of the Small Biz Saturday community, to support our town and hopefully offer a place for some great small businesses to pedal their wares.

I was super nervous no one would show up, but I should have KNOWN you all would support 'em. Thanks a ton, guys! Especially our many friends from Dewart Lake, who of COURSE showed up and showed out!

Let's put in on the calendar again for 2025 :)

We hope we can do a small part to provide an avenue for small businesses to share their wares with our great community. But an even MORE valuable way to support small businesses is to help let people know they are THERE.

TAG A BUSINESS YOU WANT to support and share the love! We are crazy blessed to reach nearly a half a million page impressions each year with our social following. That's not a normal situation for most small businesses. So, piggyback off us and help shine the light on someone who deserves it! (ANY local business you want to give some love to is fine by us!!)

** I'll use my light to shine on my favorite vendor (I know, it's not appropriate to have a favorite, but some latitude for Shanda birthing this one... lol) Kendall has been working hard to get ready for the Holidays - she SOLD OUT completely at Milford, and is hoping for another good day (this pic is last year - she'll be MAD at me form using it!!!! lol;) Come by and say hi tomorrow!

It was a beautiful year at Blue Barn (both metaphorically, and look at this pic - literally!) We can't help but be humbly THANKFUL for the many blessings this community has granted our business and family.

There's so so so many community organizations pouring love and greatness into our town, community and region. Too may to list, but I'll do a poor job and omit waaaaay too many who deserve a shout. Perhaps YOU can help us and tag a local group YOU ARE THANKFUL FOR in the comments. Let them be seen and know they are valued...

I'm especially grateful for the support of our local Chambers of Commerce, Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce and the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce for all they do to shine a light on so so many of us. I am grateful for the job Community Schools do educating my children, and the work of do throughout our county. I'm grateful for County Sheriff’s Office for keeping us safe and protected.

And of course, we are so thankful for all of you - the many people who make it possible for us to do what WE love to make a living, and hopefully someday, a small difference in our community.

"Man, you guys are EVERYWHERE right now with the catering and all the Farmhouse Events & Catering events!!" Well - it's because God placed the perfect teammate in our path! We are so so excited to have Teanna (smiling on the left) heading up the efforts on the Farmhouse catering side and spearheading the opening of NEW Oak Manor!

We can't wait for all our Blue Barn/Farmhouse family to get to know her and love her as much as we do - you're going to really enjoy working with her as you plan (and execute!) your flawless event. You're in amazing hands with Teanna!!
