This Friday at Rail Line it's Fall Paint Night - a benefit for Second Chance's shelter pups! Drinks available for purchase at the bar, snacks provided, plus raffles and 50/50.

Proceeds from the bar will be donated to Friends of Second Chance Canine Adoption Shelter ! We added 2 new great beers from Willow Rock Brewing Company on tap. The beers were a special request by last weekend's wedding couple and we'll have them on special and included in the donations from the bar sales. (Special thanks to the folks at Willow Rock for making sure we were able to get these kegs for the couple's big day!)

Something special was gifted to us today. A very good friend of ours and all of Armory Square - Jimmy Walker from Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub & Restaurant - talked to his family about Rail Line recently and they found a beer mug from a restaurant that once existed on or next door to our property many years ago when the train station was still active and the train was running for the public in the 1970's. Who could have predicted what the future would bring so many decades later - where we can have an event venue next to the train tracks with a rooftop farm garden to harvest fresh vegetables like these to share with our friends The Evergreen (Special guest appearance: For this momentous occasion, a fantastic beer was called for, Jungle Bums, and this is a collaboration with The Evergreen , the talented Chris Spencer, and another great Syracuse friend, Buried Acorn Restaurant & Brewery ).

Beautiful day spent weeding and working in the rooftop garden. And it's perfect weather for our guests to spend outdoors this evening.

Harvesting today, just a little start. Looking forward to jalapenos off the hook, tomatoes, and non stop zucchini. Plus we have very nice leafy green lettuce, kale, green bell peppers, chilis.

Tilled the roof, tilling in compost from thank you! Just the start, a few baby cherry tomatoes, and a couple beefsteak. Cilantro, parsley, fresh basil, strawberries, 3 kinds of mint in the planters below. We have 5 different peppers and more to be planted, and much more!

Unique, Modern Event Venue

Situated at the edge of Armory Square in Syracuse, NY, Rail Line is a modern venue for private events, weddings, corporate parties/meetings and celebrations of all kinds. Our facility is a refined, industrial complex built atop a classic Syracuse train trestle. Rail Line offers indoor seating, a full service bar, first floor patio, a private exterior courtyard and rooftop patio with garden. Additionally, parking is offered at our entrance level as well as street side on South Clinton Street. While we are available for anyone to rent for private parties and any caterer may provide services in our space, we have partnered with The Evergreen bar and restaurant for special events and parties throughout the year.

In the warmer months Rail Line has capacity for a significantly greater number of guests utilizing our patio, courtyard and green roof. Rail Line will be pleased to host but is not be limited to: private parties and celebrations, business meetings, office parties, seminars and presentations, promotional and performance events, private parties, wedding receptions, bridal showers, and press conferences.

Rail Line is happy to entertain new, unusual and creative functions, so please feel free to contact us with any ideas and questions. We look forward to speaking and working closely with you to ensure your special event is a great success in our new space!
