My mom grew up in Tacoma and taught me about Northwest "rock". I called it Northwest r&b because they were doing Ray Charles snd James Brown covers with organ and sax. This talk, concert, and book would have blown her away. She would have been 76. She could have made it easily if she'd kept taking her blood pressure meds.
