To say I've had a busy couple of weeks is a major understatement.😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 Five events in July, to be precise.

Now, as much as I love what I do, I'm SO pumped for a two-weekend free of events… Just family and friends time!❤️ Then, in mid-August, we’re back at it!!!💪😎

And if you're wondering, what's with the haircut?! Nothing crazy, I just needed a sense of change, and I started with lifting off the weight of having long hair…✨ It definitely feels AMAZINGGGGG!!!😊

There seems to be an ENDLESS amount of wedding details that you must consider when planning your big day. Hence, it's quickly and incredibly overwhelming. 🤯😮‍💨😵‍💫

So here are 4️⃣ basic but vital items to consider when planning:

🍽️ FOOD - Buying dinner for many people is already one of your biggest costs, so be creative. It doesn't have to be fancy; it just has to be enough and, if you can help it, a balanced meal.

🎶 MUSIC - It does create the experience and the vibe for you and your guests. So whether you have a DJ or a curated playlist, think about how you want the “vibe” to be… Are we dancing? Are we chillin’? Are we partying? Totally up to you.👌

🍻🍷 ALCOHOL - Again, unless you want a dry wedding… Alcohol is one of those things that your guests will just be grateful you offer it. Don't get hung up on the kinds of alcohol you want to serve. Create 1-2 signature drinks, beer, wine, and call it good. But hey, if you have a bunch of these “connoisseurs” or you consider yourself one, then have at it!🫡👊

📍VENUE - Another one that eats a lot of your budget, so if you're going to spend big, make sure there's an indoor and outdoor option.
Because honestly, YOU NEVER KNOW the weather. I don't care where you live; forecasts change; mother nature can be a little silly, so you might as well plan with that in mind.

I hope this helps. But something I tell my clients a lot is that, “This is your wedding day. This is YOUR event. You can do WHATEVER your heart desires and your budget allows. I'm here for guidance, so take what you want and disregard what you don't want.😎👊🫶

🎀 Bianca’s 18th Debut 8.26.23🎀

Bianca’s enchanted and whimsical debut was nothing but extraordinary.✨💓🌸💐

👉A debut is a traditional Filipino coming-of-age celebration celebrating a young woman’s 18th birthday, the age of maturity in the Philippines. It is a significant milestone as traditionally, this is the age of “womanhood.”

I watched Bianca grow up as we were family friends. Bianca is kind, brilliant, talented, hardworking, and a true gem of beauty. She’s a perfectionist but logical. She knows what she wants, and she works hard to get it done. Planning this event with her and her mom was a ton of fun!😊🤓

We incorporated several 🇵🇭 Filipino debut traditions, made many crafts, choreographed dances, and built a heavily curated program, and I was even asked to Emcee the entire thing!🤗😊🤓🤩

This event has to be one of my top 5 favorites, as this one is very close to my heart. When a family friend asks me for my services, it typically feels a little personal, giving me “butterflies”…🦋🦋🦋 To be entrusted to put together a big and very special event for many people you know.… Well, the pressure gets truly overwhelming, all in a good way.🤗😊🫶🙏🏽

I can't wait to showcase more of this day with you all!✨✨✨

No weddings for me in June 😏 as my family and I are visiting 🇷🇸 for most of it, BUT I’m pumped that I’m heading to Nashville the last week of that month to do not one, but TWO events!!🙌😎🙌😎

Growth Mode Mastermind is a 200++ attendee, one-day real estate event in the stunning Saint Elle space!✨✨
We’re focusing on the top local teams and agents, setting their businesses into hyper-growth mode!📈💰🏡🙌🤩

Event 2️⃣
Ashton Advance is a 2-day, 👊invite-only👊 mastermind event with the top 10 real estate teams nationwide!😎
We just signed with The W Hotel in the Gulch neighborhood, standing tall in the heart of The Music City!

I’m honored to be working with my boss man, Grant Wise, and the man, the myth and the legend, himself, Gary Ashton.👏

Confused on how much food and drinks to serve at your next event⁉️😅 We got you!👌

👉Every detail counts when it comes to your guests’ experience.☝️ So here’s a quick cheer sheet!📑

‼️ Keep in mind that these varies depending on your event’s timeline and HOW LONG you’re planning to serve these items.‼️

🧁 Desserts: Whether it’s 1 cupcake or 2 cookies per guest, we’ve got your sweet tooth covered!

🍸 Alcoholic Drinks: Keep the spirits high with 1.5 drinks per hour for each guest.

🥤 Non-Alcoholic Drinks: Hydration is key! Plan 3-4 drinks per guest. This may include soda, water and juice.

🍢 Appetizers: Start the party off right with 6 pieces per guest.

🍽️ Entrees: Ensure everyone leaves satisfied with 1.5 servings per guest. The yummier the food, the more guests would probably want seconds…😋😋

☝️Remember, it’s not just about the quantity, it’s about creating an experience where every bite and sip adds to the magic of your event.

🚨PSV: Your guests and attendees’ experience matters.
Time and time again, this issue comes up, typically closer to your event or when you’re building your seating chart.😳

I’m here to tell you- DO NOT OVERCROWD YOUR GUEST TABLES‼️

It’s tempting to pack as many guests as possible at each table to maximize space and accommodate everyone. However, overcrowding guest tables can actually have the opposite effect and detract from the enjoyment of your event.👌

📌Here’s a quick pro tip on table sizes and the most appropriate guest count with each size.

By avoiding the temptation of overcrowding guest tables, you can create a more comfortable, enjoyable, and visually appealing experience for your guests. Remember, it’s not just about fitting everyone in – it’s about creating a space where everyone can relax, interact, and make incredible and impactful experiences.🫶🫶🫶

My clients, Yvonne and Mike, leaned into their community to make their wedding day as beautiful as it was.🤍 Their ceremony venue was at their community property, the reception venue was owned by one of their neighbors, the caterers were their church friends, the cake was gifted, and all the chairs, dinnerware, and decor belonged to the reception venue.🤗👌🙌

The team and I assisted with the music, ushered guests, set up, took down, and ran the entire reception timeline.✨ Easy peasy!👌💪

This is a promise I made myself this year. And so far, so good.🤗 One day at a time.

For years, I haven’t been so compassionate towards myself. I’ve carried so much weight and burden with me that I always thought, “Suck it up. It’s your fault, you know?” But knowing what I know now, I can put things down slowly and navigate around things that didn't go how I hoped they would.

So, don't be like me!🙅🏻‍♀️
Don't wait for years to be more self-compassionate and love who you were and who you’re becoming.🖤
It's totally worth it!🤗

My first wedding of 2024…🤍

Liberty and Joshua have been quite the dynamic duo throughout this planning process! I know they're excited to see everything unfold and, of course… to finally be married and start their lives together!😍

They're the perfect “yin to my yang” couple ☯️ as they balance each other. Josh has this passion and drive, and Liberty has this impeccable sense of calmness and steadiness.💞 I loved seeing them conquer everything thrown at them these last few months, as it showed their love and support for each other.😍

I'm SO excited this weekend and to finally get these guys to the end of their wedding season.💒💍🤵👰‍♀️🤗

This is one of those things that are very hard for me to come to terms with.😏😒

As moms, we’re expected to give every ounce of ourselves to our kids and we have to do it with nothing less than enthusiasm. Every.single.day.😮‍💨

As an employee, our employer requires us to give it 110% day in and day out. Nothing less.🤷🏻‍♀️

As a business owner, it’s crucial to show up and perform miracles to keep the business afloat, more often than not.
🤯

And to the world, the perception is if you’re not consistently 110%, something is wrong, you’re not doing it right and you’ve become complacent. Or my personal favorite, you’re just not good enough.😵‍💫

So really, how do you cope? Well, I’m no expert as I’m still learning all these myself. But someone is teaching me how to give myself more compassion. By simply being nice to myself. And that I shouldn’t define myself by where I fall short.

But with that said, what I can guarantee is that I will show up, I will do the work and I will get it done. Am I always gonna feel “okay” doing them? Nope. But that should be enough….🫶

Grace and self-compassion, everyone.🖤
