Making a quick visit to Lost Cause Meadery in Sunny beautiful San Diego. If you liked Kvlt Mead’s Beach Catacomber, Lost Cause has a mead called Neon Trip with similar passion fruit notes and san diego county spring wildflower honey with jasmine notes similar to the orange blossom honey but slightly less fragrant and theirs adds sauvignon grapes and a trio of socal citrus ‘quats. It’s delicious.

Gotta say, Lost Cause hands-down is one of the best meaderies in the US. We’ve sampled about 20 meads from them over the years and they’re flawless, very well balanced - perfect tannins / acidity / sweetness. No flabby meads here. Hats off to Billy. Keep up the awesome work!

PNW Candy Cap Mushrooms - Hand Foraged throughout the PNW by our friend and master forager Brion. Delicate mushroom umami with a dominant maple syrup like flavor and aroma.

Cold-Smoked Yakima Peaches - Ripe delicious peaches with just a hint of smoke to embrace the inevitable fire season.

Busy production day! Will is kegging Lord of the Depths dry hopped traditional mead with clover honey and an experimental cascade type hop. It will be back on tap next week. Enjoy the glory of our small scale craft production!

Jen picked up a pound of WA state foraged candy cap mushrooms for our fall/winter mead release. Honey, yeast strain and adjuncts yet to be determined.
