In the spirit of PSL season, I figured I’d share one of my favorite color palettes to date! ⁣
The way all the colors danced together made this whole look SO dreamy. ⁣
⁣
Normally design boards are something that’s only offered to full planning clients, however with the rise of COVID last year, I started doing them for my partial planning couples too. ⁣
They really helped our couples see on paper what all they had been envisioning in their heads. Especially during a time when it was most difficult to even picture having a wedding day. ⁣
⁣
A common misconception about planners is that we only coordinate and organize. ⁣
No, no my friend, that is by far not the only thing we do.⁣
⁣
We are creatives. ⁣
⁣
We design, visualize, compose, create blueprints. We listen, hold hands, problem solve & then we execute, coordinate and organize. ⁣
⁣

Olivia & Michael recently sent me a link to their completed wedding video (by the fabulous I might add) and I cried. Like ugly cried through a large majority of the video 😂 ⁣
And honestly, it was truly because I was re-witnessing an overwhelmingly beautiful union between two amazing people that I came to know over the course of a year+. ⁣

I’m not going to lie, this career path I’ve chosen certainly takes a toll on you - emotionally, physically and mentally. I mean ask any small business owner. We put our heart and souls… and literally dying breath if we could, into our businesses. And it’s… A LOT. ⁣
⁣
But I’ve had the lovely privilege of being reminded how amazing this world can be through sweet texts & coincidental run-ins out during a weekend I needed it most, and in the SAME weekend nonetheless! Like how does that happen!? ( & )⁣
⁣
So, in the spirit of being a bit sappy, thank you to those sweet couples of mine that have left a footprint on my heart forever. You may not fully understand the impact you’ve had on me, but I want you to know that with your love and support I am eternally grateful. ⁣

Words cannot even begin to describe how much fun I had designing and planning this stunning December 2019 rehearsal dinner along side the fabulous Mother of the Groom, . ⁣
⁣
My favorite part of all? How much time, energy and attention to detail Renee spent to make this rehearsal truly magical for her only son. ⁣
The love of a mother is unconditional and everlasting. ⁣
⁣
I too have discovered the magic of loving a son, even though he may not be my blood. ⁣
⁣
Little man is my buddy, we do all the things together. We both enjoy a good cup of Starbs (yes, I created a monster), cuddles from the pups, reading a good book and most recently, soccer. ⁣
⁣
He’s witty - we’ve spent countless times laughing so hard our stomachs hurt - and his sarcasm is only getting better with age (a work in progress). ⁣
⁣
Thank you, Rene, for allowing me to take part in such a beautiful representation of your love for your son. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life doing the same for my own sweet little bonus man, too.⁣

This first picture makes me feel so many emotions! There's nothing quite like spending one of the most important days of your life surrounded and supported by the people that love you most in the whole world.⁣

With that, here's a little note/story about my very own ride-or-die:⁣
⁣
I sit here slightly teary eyed because this will be me & my sweet best friend/little, , this Saturday as she marries her high school sweetheart.⁣
⁣
Marina & I met when I was a sophomore in college and she was a freshman. We were both in the same sorority, and I, like most other sophomores in my PC were on the hunt for the perfect little. ⁣
If anyone has ever been in a sorority, you know - finding your little is like a fight to the death. And any other sister that tries to make a move on your potential little that you've been woo-ing over for weeks since bid day is bound to catch the wrath of momma bear!⁣
⁣
Anywho, Mari and I got matched up to be crescent sisters (this was just another way for the new, baby PC to meet some of the older girls). Like any other perfectly sane sister, I stalked her Twitter and came to the conclusion that she would be my little.⁣
⁣
No lie, I won her over with Chick-Fil-A pizza and my amazing crafting skills. ⁣
⁣
I am so very thankful that you came into my life and dragged Taylor along with you! I am so incredibly happy to call you my Best Friend and can't wait to celebrate the love you both share right by your side.⁣

Tuesday I left Tally to head down to SoFlo for my Mom’s graduation (she’s getting her masters in administration). ⁣
Yesterday morning I woke up to a picture from George of two of Jace’s presents completely ripped to shreds - even the actual gift. Mason & Bryant being the number one suspects. ⁣
⁣
A part of me actually feels like they’re acting out because they miss their momma, the other part of me just thinks they are complete little shiznits that truly like to push me over the edge 😒 ⁣

It’s that time of year where something as simple as this photo with the pretty cafe lights sends me into a holiday tizzy. ⁣

I need the hallmark channel, flannel PJs, cold weather and a pumpkin spice latte, like right now - can I get an AMEN!? 🙌🏼 ⁣

For those of you who don’t know... Christmas is my favorite time of year. ⁣
My Papa would travel every year to North Carolina to bring down Christmas trees which we would sell at our church to raise money for our youth group. ⁣
⁣
When I tell you they were the best smelling, most beautifully full Christmas trees you’ve ever seen... I ain’t lying, gf. Not to mention, they literally would’ve lasted until March or April but we usually took them down around V-Day because people start to seriously question your judgement when you have Christmas decor up well past New Years! ⁣
⁣
All that being said, and the fact that it is November 1st and 40 FREAKING DEGREES OUTSIDE in Tallahassee (where even did this weather come from!?), how soon is too soon to put out my Christmas decor??? ⁣

It’s so funny to me to see what parts of the wedding planning process that the groom really gets excited about. ⁣
⁣
I’ve had a few that have had opinions on flowers, some that really want the layout of the room to be a specific setup, and others who get REALLY excited about food - but I mean, who doesn’t?! Lol (**insert little girl saying “SnAcKs” gif 😂) ⁣
⁣
But the BEST part is when they get creative and it actually turns into something amazing! ⁣
⁣
For Sharon & AJs big day we had to incorporate some little Irish touches here and there. During our final review meeting, AJ tells me he has to show me the takeaway gifts he made for guests. ⁣
⁣
I was a little hesitant, as this was the same Groom that had requested venus fly traps to be used with some of the flowers. He kept me on my toes y’all. But can you tell how much fun I had with them!? Like for real, LOVE these people - the fun and stories could go on forever. ⁣❤️

With a reassuring smile on her face, Sharon showed me the cutest keys chains! “May your day be touched by a bit of Irish luck...” each had a dainty four leaf clover and a 2019 penny. YES PEOPLE! He went and found all 2019 pennies for this craft. PROUD PLANNER MOMENT RIGHT HERE!!! ⁣

My husband and I live in Connecticut and were planning a destination wedding in Tallahassee. We needed a wedding planner with a full planning package to help us find the best local vendors and to execute my fanciful wedding vision. ⁣
⁣
Sam brings more than just a name to this company; she brings her heart and soul full with imagination and knowledge. ⁣
⁣
I explained my vision and Sam seemed to understand it from day one. She guided us through the vendor selection process expertly; giving us a variety of professional recommendations and scheduling meetings on our behalf. Sam would remind me to ask about important details when I would forget. ⁣
⁣
She was very respectful of our budget as well. Sam identified areas we could save money and gave us wonderful recommendations on how to do so. ⁣
⁣
Sam translated our big, wild, sometimes outlandish, ideas into something beautiful and meaningful. For example, my husband kept asking for Game of Thrones type things in the wedding. Sam found a chair rental that not only fit my husband’s Game of Thrones request but still fit the romantic garden aesthetic I wanted for the reception. ⁣
⁣
Another example of Sam’s hard work: I had my heart set on some dramatic flowery chandeliers for the reception but several ideas fell through. Sam created her own chandeliers from scratch and they were absolutely beautiful in the room. ⁣
⁣
The timeline for the day was perfect. I couldn’t tell you if there were any problems because Sam was running the show like a well-oiled machine. ⁣
⁣
I am so thankful and grateful that Sam was able to give me happy memories of my wedding. She made me and my husband feel like her only clients. It didn’t occur to me that Sam had other clients, but of course she did because she is that remarkable. ⁣

What y’all don’t know is how much running back and forth Kylene had to do holding a sparkler, trying to write in cursive, Sharon & AJ posing for the camera (all while trying not to laugh I’m sure) and Ryan capturing this moment at just the right second!⁣
⁣
Looking at this shot, not many of you would understand the amount of work and effort it took to get it (I know I didn’t until Kylene walked back into the reception out of breath with a little glow of sweat from running so much 😂 - the real MVP).⁣

We would’ve never been able to guess what was really going on behind the curtain.⁣
⁣
Being that today is Wednesday and I’m sure many of us are struggling to find that extra push to get us through the remainder of the week - I want to do something fun... bare with me.⁣

I have some important people in my life right now that are carrying some pretty heavy weight on their shoulders, as I’m sure many of you know some peeps feeling that way too - and to the outside world, we would have no idea.⁣

We were really hoping that was going to make it out to Jenna & Caleb’s wedding this April. Jenna sent an invite and T Swift even had a count down!! (I mean it was likely for the release of her song “Me!” But we were hopeful).⁣

Although she sadly couldn’t make the trip to Tally, it was still quite the party and we still managed to add some T Swift love - peep the red lips and heart shaped glasses 😻⁣

This weekend, quite like this photo, was pretty freaking magical.⁣
⁣
It was also fire-burning-in-my-soul inspirational, get-off-your-a$$-and-WERK motivational, and cry-to-release-all-your-baggage emotional. I wouldn’t have asked for it to be any other way.⁣
⁣
I learned SO much about myself, how to keep moving forward in pursuit of my dreams, and how powerful it can be when a room full of 7500 women realize that they are worth following their passions - no matter how outrageous they may be.⁣
⁣
So here’s to the next year of learning, growing and reaching out to life with arms wide open and becoming who I was always meant to be 🙌🏼⁣
⁣
Also, for those who were keeping up with our trip through my Insta stories - we ate at Torchy’s Tacos TWICE because literally begged us to go back - can you say EPIC choice Sam!? ⁣
Highly recommend if you’re ever traveling to Texas.⁣
⁣
And in case you were wondering... we kept up the trend and ate tacos for just about every meal (except for the second night when we ordered room service because we were all physically and mentally exhausted lol).⁣

So this year, thanks to Rachel Hollis, I decided to make some very big changes when it came to separating my business and personal life. ⁣
⁣
In just the first year of being a small business owner, I had given away so much of my heart, soul and most importantly time to my clients that while I was creating goals for this new year, I had a very tough and emotional realization that I had lost a part of myself. ⁣
⁣
So the first thing I did? Booked a week long trip for George and I to spend some uninterrupted time together over the summer. ⁣
⁣
Second thing I did? Set designated business hours so I could give 100% of myself to my couples and 100% of myself to my pups, boyf and family at home. ⁣
⁣
Trust me, this was the farthest thing from easy for me because my business is literally like my child. But to be honest, these things have made the WORLD of difference. ⁣
⁣
Better yet, I was so inspired and excited to actually look forward to something fun for me and travel, that when Charlotte said, omg we have to go to the Rachel Hollis conference I was all in. ⁣
⁣
Soooooo... DALLAS HERE WE COME. Keep a lookout for all the inspirational quotes and fun things we learn as well all the shenanigans we get into along the way 🙃
