Teddy's Bearfest '16 will be featuring Lynn Treftzer, children's ventriloquist and NUCORP who performs Motown, Funk, Smooth R&B, Indie, Top 40 and their own original selections which blends with their stage presence and high-energy performances. NUCORP is a four-piece band that has the full sound of a six-piece band. All the music is real, and there is no sampling by these guys. From old school to new school this band will have the old as well as the young moving their feet to the beats.

TEDDY’S BEARFEST ’16 CELEBRATES ITS 10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY

The Madison Parish Police Jury and the Madison Parish Tourism Commission, will host its 10th “Teddy’s Bearfest’ 16: a Historical Celebration.” Gather your family and friends and come out to help us celebrate President Theodore Roosevelt’s 1907 successful bear hunt expedition in Madison Parish.

The festival is free and starts at 9:00 am with a parade featuring the Madison High School Marching Band in downtown Tallulah. It is an event in which the whole family can participate and enjoy. The festival is an outdoor event, with lots of great food, games, and entertainment for the entire family. Booths showcasing arts & crafts will also be available. There will be educational and informational exhibits featuring a wide variety of activities, as well as live animals, and information on wildlife, hunting, and fishing will be on display. Lots of door prizes will be given away along with surprise raffle items.

All genres of music will be showcased. Vendor applications are now available from the Madison Parish Office of Tourism.
