Posture and placement are considered the keys to master technique in classical ballet as without a solid base, advanced movements in pointe cannot be done well. Our faculty and staff are so proud of all our students.
They are gaining a sense of discipline, focus and attention to detail through learning new positions and steps.
They are working in coordination, balance, flexibility and how to control their bodies in motion.
They are active and getting daily exercise in a healthy and artistic way.
They are becoming very comfortable performing before groups and making friendships for ever.

Tampa City Ballet’s mission is to create a dynamic model of interaction and integration with artists and audiences. AFTER YEARS OF HARD WORK WE HAVE TAKEN THE DECISION TO BUILD UPON OUR COLLABORATIONS AND PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN AMERICA'S BALLET SCHOOL AND TAMPA CITY BALLET AND FORMALLY JOIN THE TWO. AMERICA'S BALLET SCHOOL WILL NOW BE KNOWN AS TAMPA CITY BALLET SCHOOL. THIS DECISION HAS BEEN MADE WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT OUR BALLET PROGRAM WILL CONTINUE TO GROW AND STRENGTHEN UNDER THE NEW BANNER WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY ALLOWING FOR MORE EFFECTIVE ARTISTIC DIRECTION AND COLLABORATION LEADING TO OUR SHARED VISION OF GROWING ARTS IN OUR COMMUNITY.

On November 20, 2022 at 96 years old, Nemesia Cortes passed away. Mother of our dear Artistic Director, Paula Nunez. Generous in spirit, kind and truthful to those she touched throughout a long life well-lived. Nemesia shall be missed and warmly remembered.

UN-DER-LINE examines the manifestation of the “othering” phenomenon in relation to “us” and "them," the “self" and the others.
The streets of Ybor are the stage with its outspoken lenguaje that is preserved in time. The dancers are the souls in this paradise.

Week 3! We are very excited to have our beautiful dancers perform alongside TCB in their Summer Showcase, “S.O.S.” on July 28th. We are very lucky to be presenting a work by our guest choreographer, Fernando Suels. “S.O.S.” is focused on raising awareness on environmental issues affecting humanity on a global scale through the movement of dance.
