Hi! I’m Thomas Barthmus, the owner of Bayshore Productions and we are in Mayfield, Kentucky, working at a disaster response donation site with Verizon.

My company wants to do more for this disaster response so we started a fund drive to help teenagers affected by the devastating tornadoes that have changed the landscape in this part of the country.

As we approach the Holidays we want to make sure that every young adult feels the love and support from around the country. I’m working with two local youth pastors who are running Operation Christmas to provide gifts for teenagers directly impacted by the tornadoes in the city of Mayfield and Graves County.

Any amount you can donate to these kids to make sure this age segment is not overlooked, will go directly to the teens in need. I personally will purchase gift cards on Sunday, December 19 and deliver them to the site where parents will be shopping for their kids.

Thank you for your help in spreading love and holiday joy in making sure that all kids get to celebrate the holidays.

We have been doing emergency response work for over 10 years and this year after getting to Mayfield, Kentucky and working for a few days with Verizon we were moved to help. The timing of this tragic storm so close to the Holidays means that a lot of teenagers and young adults are going to have a rough Christmas. Since I have a teenager and I can’t imagine how tough it would be for him to go through this, we started a GoFundMe page to help. As the sun sets in Louisiana our thoughts are with thousands of people that still don’t have power and are trying to get by without most of the daily things we take for granted. I can’t say enough good things about the incredible team at Verizon that we partner with on disaster response. They work tirelessly to do the right thing and help people in crisis. While response work is challenging with COVID-19 they still manage to do great things. We are praying for a fast recovery and safety for our entire team in Louisiana.

Tonight we joined our production family across the country and lit up a few local buildings in red. As much as all of you miss going to live events, we miss putting them on for you. We stand with the live events industry and the millions of workers who depend on events to make a living. Live events contribute over $1 trillion annually to the US economy. We need all the support we can get to urge Congress to pass the RESTART act.

The Bayshore Emergency Response Team jumped in to help Howell Township in record time today! In less than 4 hours after the request came in from Verizon, the first charge station was built and in place. We are used to responding in the south so this trip was a little different. Let’s hope everyone gets power back quickly and stays safe!

It’s a blessing to come into East Bladen High School to pick up one our charge stations after Hurricane Dorian passed through here especially after it was only used for a few days. Last year they were not so lucky and I just spoke to their VP who shared that some kids are still living in FEMA trailers.

Today's partner at the Embassy Suites Downtown Tampa used our large format timer to keep their Farmer Engagement event running very smooth and on time.
