10 year old Lacey was surrendered to the Humane Society of the Tampa Bay in May of 2024 due to a family emergency.

When we asked Lacy, who has been available at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay for 150 days, who wanted to be adopted, she raised her paw as high as she could.

Her family surrendered to the shelter back in May due to a family emergency.

She doesn't show well in her kennel, but as soon as we took her out for a Second Shot, her personality shined!

Yes... we really helped this couple include their FIVE rescue beagles in their wedding! & You can read all about it on Newsweek 💙🐾

Bethany and Matthew would have had six rescue beagles at the wedding, but one died. Still, they found a way to include him.

Here’s the BIG news!

We’ll be photographing 100 adoptable Pit Bull and Pit Bull type dogs in October, which is Pit Bull Awareness Month!

We’ll be teaming up with the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center AND the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.

The first 12 dogs to get adopted of the 100 will also be in our Second Shot 2025 Wall Calendar, which will help fund even more Second Shot photo shoots in the future.

Who else is excited for this initiative and partnership? 🙋‍♂️📸🐶

“Our dog is too crazy to be a part of our wedding!” 🙃We hear this ALL the time! Thats why we create a unique timeline for each of our Dogs Of Honor - all based on their personality and energy levels. For high energy dogs, we recommend arriving at the venue with them at least an hour before they are actually needed! This gives us time to:
🔹take them for a nice long walk + allow for some playtime & cuddles before the festivities begin
🔹let them sniff around and become familiar with the new environments
🔹practice walking down the aisle before your guests arrive (if you plan to include them in the ceremony, of course!)
🔹practice posing for photos and testing what works best to get their attention (treats, toys, specific noises, etc) so they are ready and prepared when the time comes!
