Beauty does age. As the guys continue demolition, and the electricians continue cleaning up the wiring, you can see the store. I was with another old house lover tonight and I was telling her I could see the opportunity in a really old house, just like I found it in a highly altered building from 1884. She was with me the first time I shared our plans, and she was the first person for the 1 year anniversary of the store. It’s called belief, not hope, belief. We are so excited to be doing this, and don’t panic, Norfleet will be getting her exterior freshened up and new sunroom renovations this month…I’ll share more of her progress on her page. We are fortunate for this opportunity and I hope others join us in preserving this little town that we all love so much.

One year of Social Secretary. As the sister to the florist and gift shop has taught us so many things. Our clients are loyal. Our friends think we are insane. Our family knows we are insane. Our fellow downtown business owners support us unconditionally. Join us tomorrow for Cava all day, cupcakes with and take a stroll through the store before we shift it again to fall! New cards. We’ve gotten a lot of questions on the new store…we are planning to tentatively open the first week of November, with larger selections of food, cooking supplies, expanded paper lines for the table, and extraordinary books. Like this table, our focus will be on cooking, entertaining, local adventures, and gathering. Southern authors are collected at the front of the store, mixed in with a few of our favorite cooking tools. Come see us!

We are so excited to share that we have purchased 405-7 North Main. Over the next several months we begin the demolition of the downstairs offices to return it back to retail, and slight modifications to the apartment upstairs which will become available before the store is fully opened. We will be using both sides of the space to expand the store and our lines. Our intention is to host our Christmas open house in the new location in November. Susan and Joe have been great clients of ours and we couldn’t be happier to have this incredible space on Main Street. We look forward to sharing more of our progress along the way….until then, we are in WS Clark 10 am until 6 Monday through Friday and 10 am until 5 pm on Saturday !

In four days, we will announce the future location and timing of the store. Until then, enjoy this view of Main Street ...
