You have no clue how many tools I've lost behind my craft table - there must be a treasure trove of knife blades back there. 😂 Now I'm perfectly organized with the new Cricut Machine Tool Organizer. It's so much easier to be creative when my craft room is clean and pretty, don't you agree?

Digging through my archives (since no events right now means I’ve got nothing new to show you). When I attached hundreds of hexagons to a wall with . This install inspired A LOT of future projects...like a hexagon es**rt display, a hexagon es**rt poster, a hanging lucite hexagon backdrop..etc. Moral of the story is: hexagons never die.

Memorializing the only tulip left from my tiny front yard crop. 😡 I had 10 beautiful blooms...and this morning they were all eaten by some little jerk. Or probably a deer. Or a those darn squirrels.

We are fixers. Us wedding and event pros. Just in case things go wrong, as they are for all of us right now, we are the best at fixing anything at a moments notice with only one chance to get it right.

Ok, no, I can’t fix the pandemic. But I can make my current clients feel better with compassion when they’ve started postponing their events. And I can update my policies to let prospective clients know that I’ve got their back before they even book me.

Gosh, this must be a scary time to start planning (and paying for) a giant party. I GET YOU.

From a week ago, which feels like ten years ago, flowering on the front steps for my neighbors. Won’t be doing that again until the situation gets safer. Crossing my fingers for May.

What I’m doing during this covid-19 pandemic (trying to be as proactive, helpful, and gracious as possible):

1) treating my clients like gold. I’m transferring all payments towards new events dates and advising on ANYTHING event related, not just decor and flowers.
2) redesigning for free. Maybe your new event date is at a new venue/different season/needs different flowers. I’m waiving our fees for additional creative briefs if we need to redesign anything to accommodate the new date.
3) Encouraging postponement, not cancellation. Every event that’s cancelled is thousands of dollars out of the hands of small businesses and a lost opportunity for a fun celebration. Let’s keep the parties going! Give us all something to look forward to when this insanity is over.
