Be sure to go check out this youth rodeo at the Williamson County Expo Center this weekend! The Bill Pickett Youth Rodeo Association is hosting this event for rodeo kids 18 and under.

Admissions to come and watch are $10 for anyone 11 and up. Gates open at 10 AM and it will have lots of good rodeo action as these kids show off their skills!

While the Taylor Rodeo Association is excited to see this event, we are not affiliated with it, and any tickets purchased through the TRA will not grant you access. Go show your support for the kids this weekend, and come back July 18th, 19th, and 20th for our 74th Annual Taylor Rodeo!

The search for The Next Gambler is on! We are holding a bull riding competition with our friends at the Taylor Rodeo Association where the winner can earn a spot on the Austin Gamblers roster! The PBR-sanctioned event will feature 4 teams of riders with each team coached by a current Austin Gambler. The 4 teams will compete in a tournament-style competition leading to a championship round of the eight highest-ranked riders. The eligible rider with the highest aggregate score after the championship round, will earn a provisional spot on our roster!

Stay tuned to find out which 4 Austin Gambler riders will be coaching the next generation of bull riders!

Wilco Fair and Rodeo is just weeks away…. Get ready for some good, old-fashioned fun at the third annual Williamson County Fair and Rodeo from Wednesday, Oct. 25, through Saturday, Oct. 28. Attendees can enjoy carnival rides, rodeo, a beer and wine garden, food, pig races, a lumberjack show, a petting zoo, local craft vendors, great music and more! The excitement awaits at the Williamson County Expo Center, 5350 Bill Pickett Trail in Taylor. Enjoy the fun on the first night of the Fair and Rodeo with free gate admission for the whole family as part of Samsung Family Night on Wednesday, Oct. 25. Thursday, Oct. 26, is Central Texas Community Foundation Veterans Night with free admission for veterans, first responders and active military. An American Professional Rodeo Association rodeo will take place both Friday and Saturday nights, Oct. 27 and 28. Stick around for two great concerts after the rodeo! On Friday, enjoy Tejano Night featuring a tribute to the Queen of Tejano music, Selena, by singer Amanda Solis. A Lil Selena contest for children ages three through 10 will also take place that night. Attendees can enjoy music by Mariachi Del Toro and a performance by Round Rock Ballet Folklorico during Tejano Night. On Saturday, Oct. 28, enjoy music by NBC’s The Voice contestant (and Hutto’s own) Noivas, followed by Memphis Kee and Mike and the Moonpies on the community stage. Then, to round out the yearlong celebration of the 175th birthday of Williamson County, you’ll want to dust off your boots and get “ready to raise your bottle” because Aaron Watson will be taking the main stage at 9 p.m. New this year, a junior rodeo will take place during Family Night, Oct. 25. This is the first-ever junior rodeo in Williamson County. You can also enjoy a few new attractions like the SW Dairy Farmers Education mobile, Lil Plunkett's Circus and an Old West Comedy Gun Fight show. Our Story

Nestled in Taylor, TX, the Williamson County Exposition Center is a central location for a variety of sporting, spectator, and recreational events for the whole family! The Williamson County Expo Center is a renovation and enhancement of the original County Events Center in Taylor that was opened on the site in 2001. Ground was broken on the project in September 2015, and the first event held in the renovated facility was the Taylor Rodeo on September 23 and 24, 2016. The renovation and expansion was funded with voter approved park bonds.
