We wanted to thank the Kalama Brothers for having us accompany them for several workshops in San Bernardino County on behalf of Redlands Bowls’s Music in the Schools. We had a really fun time dancing to the brothers’ musical stylings again, introducing some Polynesian culture to the kids, and putting smiles on the faces of students and staff. 😃

Our top three (or in the case of having a family with twins, four!) fund raisers (🥇Sam & Sophie, 🥈 Mayumi, 🥉 Melody) got to do a solo piece together for the show. We have been having a contest among our performers as to who sells the most tickets for our upcoming show at the Temecula Community Theater. We’ve done this in the past, and the winner always gets a special prize, usually involving a unique dance opportunity. Here is a clip of one such instance from our virtual show during the pandemic. Mayumi raised the most money during our Double Good popcorn fundraiser that year and got to do a solo during that show to Josh Tatofi’s “Ku`u Pua Ilima.” If you want to count your tickets towards a performer’s ticket sale count, please send proof of order confirmation to your performer.
