My sister Andrea sent me a text saying, “what do you think?” Doubtful thoughts initially flooded my mind but then we chatted further on the phone and laid it all out. We formulated a plan and discussed best and worst case scenarios. We determined we had little lose and decided to go for it. Excitedly we booked jobs and we were on our way! We knew it was going to work but didn’t quite know how it w

Hello Card Your Yard Community,

A few months ago, we were approached by a trademarked company that had a similar name to ours threatening legal action if we did not change our name. Despite the fact that our company was named first, ours was not trademarked so we had to make the decision to change our name. Our biggest concern in doing so is losing the incredible following we have developed over the last 5 years. We reached out to have all of you help us rename our business. Unfortunately most of the names were either already being used or already trademarked in some capacity as well. A very good South African friend of ours often uses the expression, "hou die blink kant bo" which means "keep the bright side up". We love the idea of keeping life positive and also feel like our yard cards spread joy and positivity. Going forward Card Your Yard will now be operating as Bright Side Up Yard Cards. We are still family owed (2 sisters who love to work together), will still offer the same outstanding customer service and still look forward to carding your yard. Please make note and spread the word that Card Your Yard is now Bright Side Up Yard Cards. Our social media will reflect this in the next week. We look forward to many more years of celebrating milestones with all of you! Thank you for making our business what it is today!

New year, new (forced) opportunity! A big business franchise is squeezing us out of the business name we have had since we started. But, we are going to make lemonade out of lemons, move on and we are asking for YOUR help! First, throw out your ideas for our new business name. Second, once we rename, we would love your help to get the word out that Card Your Yard is still the best carding business in the area and share the new name we will be operating under.
