Regan & Kara’s summer solstice destination wedding🤘🏻
These two fell in love while working together in the summer in alaska, so it only made sense to come back to the place where it all started - and this time to get married.
In my initial phone call with them, they talked about how much kara loves photo albums and home movies, and instantly I already had a vision of their day.
Filming on their wedding day only solidified that. From their @fetefone guest book, to framed photos of relatives on their wedding day, this day was exactly what I envisioned -and better. Leaving this wedding, I knew I wanted to create something that felt like home.

Toasts are personally one of my favorite parts about filming weddings. They tell you so much about the couple that you probably would not of known otherwise.
Giving a toast can be nerve wracking, but with these tips you’ll know how to have a killer speech!
-Talk about when the two of them started dating and a cute moment of them talking about each other! Maybe it’s the groom saying “ I think I met my future wife”, or it’s how the bride FaceTimed you immediately after the first date, all giggly and excited!
- Talk about the positive influence they have been in one another’s life
- Simply congratulate the couple and tell them how proud you are of them!
If you’re going to tell a story, keep it short and sweet before moving on to the next point!

TIPS FOR WRITING YOUR VOWS ⬇️
When it comes to your vows, it can be overwhelming trying to fit how much you love your partner into words. From someone who spends HOURS listening to vows while editing, I want to give you my best tips to nail your love letter.
•Tell the story of the moment you knew you were in love! This is such a sweet memory and often times, your partner will learn that you fell in love earlier than they knew of, and it is a guaranteed heart melter.
•Tell them how they inspire you, and bring up specific moments when they showcased this.
•Embrace your emotional side. Trust me, when it comes from your heart, there’s nothing that you can say that will sound cheesy. Put it all out there.
•Don’t wait till last minute! This is something that you will want to take your time on. Don’t try to write it all in one sitting, instead take breaks and come back with new ideas until you perfect your final draft. Practice reading aloud, make intentional pauses and don’t rush it!
As always, your vows should come straight from your heart, and if you’re good with your words, then this will be a breeze! But for those of you who may need that little extra help, this is for you!
