I Do Ceremonies Austin/Waco Wedding Officiant

I Do Ceremonies Austin/Waco Wedding Officiant We've married over 1200 couples & we work with couples to create the perfect personalized ceremony! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

My name is Stephen Simmons and I’ve enjoyed creating “I Do” ceremonies with couples in and around the Austin area since 2005. As a wedding officiant and a non-denominational ordained minister, I am honored to have the opportunity to work with couples to create the perfect personalized ceremony that reflects what you as a couple want on your special day. Your wedding is one of the most important ev

ents of your life and your wedding officiant should make you feel at ease about the details of your ceremony. Have you considered, that in addition to the groom and bride, the officiant/minister is the only other “must have” person required to have a wedding? I’m sure you’re wanting to find the right officiant/minister for this momentous occasion, so don’t wait on this important decision. I like to schedule a free initial consultation with all couples to discuss various options and get to know one another. Consultations are available in person, or via phone, Skype or Facetime. Following that consultation, if you decide to move forward with my services, we will create your personalized ceremony. Together, we can create your wedding ceremony to be short and simple or more detailed, integrating personalized vows, scripture, blessings, poems, readings, prayers, unity ceremonies, cultural traditions, and other specific preferences you desire. My goal is to provide the amount of guidance you want in creating your ceremony. I’ll share examples of other ceremonies allowing you to select a specific ceremony, or, you can combine a mixture of ceremonies together to create your own personal preference. You can also write your own ceremony wording if you have something specific you would like. While at my site, you will find beautiful ceremony ideas as well as various other useful nuggets to create the perfect ceremony. It would be an honor to officiate your wedding. Best wishes, Stephen Simmons

How do you know when you've "found the one"?

I recently had a couple that shared something the grooms grandfather told him when considering this question, I found his answer to be great advice.

When ‘I’ becomes ‘WE’, when ‘ME’ becomes ‘US’, and when ‘MINE’ becomes ‘OURS’.”

When you "find the one", let me know and I would be honored to officiate your wedding.

You can hear some great words of wisdom at church. This past Sunday Pastor Alex Suber at Oasis Church shared some wisdom someone shared with him recently about going into marriage. "If you can't change their diaper, you can't change them". You don't marry someone to change them, you marry them for who they are. Positive changes can happen in a relationship, but if you go into marriage believing you can change your future spouses __________(fill in the blank) you will be disappointed.

We hope this finds you hopeful and encouraged as you continue your wedding planning! We want to make sure you are aware of the need to secure your date with us and your other vendors as quickly as able due to remaining dates in 2020 filling up. So many spring wedding couples have changed their dates to August to December that if you wait too long you may not be able to have the vendor you have your heart set on. We want to first extend peace to all our couples affected by the current situation, these are very difficult times. We also want to reassure our couples that we will do our best to accommodate any necessary date changes (postponements).
If you still want to be legally married, even if you plan to have your full celebration on a new day in the future, we can help you. We know many couples have a date that is special to them, or financial reasons to be married by a certain date and we are here to help.
If you already have your marriage license (not valid for 72 hours and expires after 90 days) and it will be expiring before your new date, I am available for an elopement option at our venue www.siloandoak.com.
Contact me and we can discuss options for your special date.
I look forward to hearing from you if I can be of service.
Sincerely,
Stephen

"We're going to have a friend or family member officiate our ceremony". There is nothing wrong with having someone close to you Officiate your ceremony if they have experience performing ceremonies. Over the last few years I receive a message like the below about a dozen or so times a year.

This email was sent to me 10/14/19 for a wedding 11/09/19.
"Unfortunately, my fiancé and I had a friend fall through last minute as being our officiant. We have been together nearly 7 years and are very much looking forward to our wedding in Driftwood on November 9th. By some miracle, are you available to officiate on that Saturday for us?"

I want your ceremony to be special, I don't want you to have any stress on one of the happiest days of your life!! Find a professional that will ensure you're not left frantically searching for the ONLY service provider you MUST have on your wedding day. :-)
May all your dreams become a reality!
Stephen

What you need to know about your Marriage License - In Texas, there's no place for the bride and groom to sign the marriage license. There's three signatures required: The County Clerk when they issue it, The Officiant after the ceremony, and the Deputy at the Clerk's Office when they put it into the system. In Texas, the state law is the person that Officiates your ceremony must file your marriage license, that means they take it with them and file it back with the County Clerk. You can pick up your marriage license in any County in Texas and get married in any County in Texas, you do not have to pick up your license in the same county you're getting married in. There's a 72 hour waiting period after you get your marriage license before you can get married and it's good for 90 days. {Happy wedding planning!}

Experience and thoughtfulness makes all the difference when the bride and groom become emotional. Stephen always carries new hankies to help with sweet tears of love.

What's my favorite part of the ceremony? Custom vows!! When couples take the time to write something beautiful and special for their beloved, it is generally emotional and you can hear and feel the love in the words being spoken.

Here's a portion of some beautiful vows from a recent ceremony from the groom to his bride: "I vow to love you when the sun shines, and even more when the rain falls. I vow to never let a mood in a moment affect a love of a lifetime. I vow to provide you security in all facets of our lives, and to always protect you, not because you need it, but because you're valuable."

This gives you a glimpse of some of the beautiful love this amazing groom has for his bride.

It can be fairly simple writing your own vows, simply begin to write the things you love about your beloved, it's amazing how quickly 2-3 paragraphs come together when you're talking about "your love".
