The Sunshine Mill will be closed again today due to the weather.
Most small businesses like ours just made it through one of the busiest and most rewarding times of the year. We ride that high (and that almighty dollar) through what are inevitably the slowest and hardest months of the year where most businesses are planning for spring and busy season.
We ask that after this weather passes you think of your favorite small businesses and support them fiercely.
While it’s just a few days of being closed, those running small businesses are waking up daily trying to figure out the best balance of keeping their staff, buildings and businesses safe while also trying to make sure their team members have their necessary hours, and that they aren’t missing serving their customers.
We’re showing up each day, whether it’s physically present at our businesses or online to keep everyone informed on if we’ve made the tough decision to be closed yet again.
But, while this weather may be relentless, we also know our customers will be in their support *hopefully* next week!

We’re still reeling from all the holiday cheer(s) we got to share with the community at our Winter Warmer holiday market!
Thank you to everyone who showed up to support 18(!) different small businesses and non-profits.
We loved sharing our space that’s decked out for the holiday season with all of you!
If you didn’t make it to the market, we’re always open daily from 12-6 and have tons of holiday wine, food and gifts to choose from.

A few weeks ago we shared that we closed this door to add some much needed heat to make this space available for us year round, and we’re so excited to say while it might be cold outside, it’s perfectly toasty here in Santa’s Workshop!
And just in time to welcome 18 local vendors for our Winter Warmer Holiday Market this Saturday from 12-6!
Stop by and check out what retail goodies, and new and vintage clothes @terracottagorgeco, @herbalrevival, @skookum_outfitters, and @sewingbyrory will have.

We’ll also have an amazing spot for the kiddos with fun winter activities from @little_slumbers.
After all the shopping your heart desires, you might need to relax with a chair massage from @reflexyourdogs.
Don’t forget to support your favorite local organizations by buying hot chocolate and popcorn from the Dry Hollow PTA, chocolate covered blueberries from @gymnasticsriverside, Christmas trees from Camp Morrow and get photos with Santa from 3-6pm and support @wonderworksgorge
We’ll be selling warm mulled wine by the glass and growler, beer from @freebridgebrewing and cider from @workinghandsbeer. We’ll also be having holiday cookies and cookie kits for sale from @daniskitchenshop for sale.

Usually this time of year, this door closes and we don’t open it again until March. But this year, we’re finally installing our long-awaited heaters and we’ll finally have the whole main floor of The Sunshine Mill open 12 months out of the year for daily visits and private events!We’re sooooo excited 🤗We’ve got some work to do, but this space should be back open by Thanksgiving, warmer and better than ever!

Y’all showed up (and so did the sunshine 😂) and we’re so grateful.
It’s been a bit since we’ve shared our space with so many people and we’re eternally grateful that you chose us as the place to spend your Saturday.
It was day we won’t forget, and it couldn’t have happened without all of our local vendors who also chose to spend their Saturday here with us selling their amazing items.
We love this community and sharing a family friendly event with you all was the e perfect way to kick off grape harvest 🍇

Movies under the stars are what summer is made of ✨
This Friday we will be showing “The Parent Trap” and will be serving Oreos and peanut butter (of course!).
Saturday we’re showing “How to Train Your Dragon”.
Tickets are $20 per car and you can add on a movie goodie package for $10 that includes a hot dog, soda, popcorn and candy!
Check in begins at 8:45 and the movie will start at 9.
Come enjoy some great shows during Memorial Day weekend!

Our Warehouse Bar is perfect for smaller groups up to 30 people and our main tasting room is perfect for larger crowds up to 75.
The tasting room is decked to the nines and our outdoor area is full of fire pits and cozy spots to sit, we even have blankets for guests!
