𝙇𝘼𝙎𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙄𝙈𝙋𝘼𝘾𝙏

Prior to the Colonels victory on Saturday, Nicholls Athletics honored 𝐃𝐫. 𝐎. 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐥.

Hill was the first black student athlete to play for Nicholls in 1968. As a captain on the basketball team he led the Colonels to their first postseason birth in program history. He is the all-time leading scorer and rebounder in program history.

After a stint in the Army, Hill returned to the Bayou where he coached locally and earned a Master of Education degree. Dr. Hill’s impact reaches far beyond the hardwood as he was Nicholls’ Dean of the College of Education from 1999-2006.

The bust of Dr. Hill can be seen at the entrance of Stopher Gymnasium.
